It is free publicity for HTC.
In their current state, they need this the most.
Let media stoke more fire to this "HTC latest copies Apple iPhone" drama while turning a blind eye to "Apple latest copies HTC"
Heck who knows Apple and HTC are colluding to get as much publicity as possible for both.

Nobody can beat htc in terms of beauty and build quality. Iphones are really ugly on the front with that large bezels which has the poorest screen to body ratio. Even the chinese phones have bigger screens with the same body dimensions. Apple cant even put stereo speakers on that large bezels. The home key is the other thing that makes iphone ugly. Altogether the front design looks like that of a cheap phone but only when you hold it in your hand you feel the premium built of an iphone whereas the back of the iphone has good looking design for iphone 4 and 5 series. The protuding camera of iphone 6 makes its little ugly otherwise is good looking. As usual the front is ugly on iphone 6 series too.

iPhone 6 is without doubt an exact copy of this. With the antenna design of HTC ONE M7.
Also many Android features are a visible as copy in iOS.

it was the biggest... morebash htc. I remember windows mobile running htc diamond. so innovative, ya. they got first big screen 4.3" 4.7" windows mobiles.
remember htc sensation XE? a horrible mess.
nokia and samsung had the real quality products back then.

Well those who are underestimating HTC
it was the biggest company of smartphones in 2008-10
Then due to their poor marketing skills and high ppricing killed them
There were sony and Samsung to offer cheap phones with inferior quality.
And yeah bro HTC is class even now.
One can't stop looking at HTC one or desire phones.
Only thing that took company down was its poor marketing skills
Every person whom I met in india agrees that HTC is best in Android and only true competitor to Apple in quality phones

apple is the world's most "strict" company when it comes to "design". when it's adopted it's not gonna change for years. and they do it seriously after a lot research. it's unique, special and boring at the same time. and it can bend too!!!
Why such a tech giant like apple need to copy a cheap marketless company like htc? who's htc??
I wonder if Jony Ive have ever heard the name htc in his lifetime! Shame on Jony and the entire apple R&D team. lol

Nearly all the phones from any manufacturer released within the last 2 years all look the same. Everyone is copying off everyone. We need a manufacturer to come out with a drastic new design!!

Now for Apple vs HTC
HTC has the history of being a very innovative company.
And it still is it was one m7 to feature optical image stabilization.
It's HTC having superior audio than any other company out there.
I know camera is not that good but it was the first to improve low light photography.
First to introduce costum user experience
Have much better looking phones in their list.
Beats was acquired by them first. Which increases beats market value.
