This iOS vs Android war - still keeps on making people hate and resent each other. It must stop. #stopthewar

I think this news comes as clear as it gets, yet still, instead of criticising Apple for the defect in their expensive phone, the blind fanboys try to rationalize and defend Apple even harder. I guess the isheeps logic IS that much different than the rest of the world. :)

Yes, the signal is stronger closer to zero, however he is testing how weak a signal the phone is able to pick up...so the phone that can pick up the weakest signal is the one with the best antenna....get it now?

Another thing to remember he is only testing 2g, not 3g, as some of those that went to their phone to look at the signal strenght, is looking at.

Cheers and next time read the article before playing smart. :)

This test results should be part of phone reviews. I know people with the iPhone 5 complaining of its bad battery and reception being cut. Meanwhile, the S5 being ridiculed as being "cheap" design has way better signal reception and a whole lot more features.

Substance over looks, people... Plastic backs will not be a problem for antennas located at the rear. And now Samsung is trying to sell things like metal or fragile glass backs (yeah, some people like gospels all over, and like the idea of it likely to shatter upon impact). Wrong way just to please people to say their phone's rear is "premium".

Here's the explanation of how you should interpret the dBm results and why the iPhone scores are indeed indicating worse reception:

Isn't the closer to the zero value represents better network?
Ex: -90>-91, hence -90 represents better network than -91.

AnonD-308243, 26 Oct 2015in all fairness a cellphone is a cheep means of communicati... moreIf you really were what you claim to have been, you would have realized by now that the professor did an antenna pick up test, which tests the minimum signal strength that an antenna can pick up. Thus the iPhone score means that it requires a much stronger signal to be able to pick it up than the top scoring phones like the Z and S6. In other words, the iPhone antenna is amongst the lowest performers when it comes to picking up weaker signals, thus you're more likely to be stuck with a bad reception, loss of reception or no reception compared to most other phones.

I actually get great reception on my 6s. The only two manufactures I have had with great reception were iPhones and Motorola. I haven't used nokia long right but The ones I owned were good. The rest really have been terrible. I checked the signal strength on my 6s right now and it was at -97db and its at 4 bars.

And those same people think that other people are jealous when they already have been using them for a good while. Those same ignorant people seem to come to articles like this and try to ignore the problems of their favourite brand devices.
