Anonymous, 25 Feb 2010Thats why i hate apple cause apple fan boys are so arrogant... moreWho says all of us defending the iPhone here are Apple fanboys? I don't have an iPhone. I have a Nokia 5800, which I enjoy a lot. However, I don't fail to recognize what makes the iPhone so potent. And anybody who doesn't understand what makes the iPhone so great (hint: it's not the marketing) will never understand why the iPhone is so popular and why it sells so well. That goes for other OEMs too.

I want Nokia and Sony Ericsson to understand so that they can make me better phones. If the don't get it, in a few years, they'll pretty much be out of the smartphone game and we'll all be buying iPhones. If that sounds far-fetched, just talk to the makers of music/mp3 players and ask them if it was a mistake to laugh off the iPod as tool for idiots.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2010are you high, i've being checking my bank account and mi... moreI used to have an N82 2 years back. It pales in comparison to the iPhone. The browsing is pretty lack luster on the Nokia compared to the iPhone, but then again, the N82 is much older.

I don't see how having an iPhone means you'll have less minutes? If your friend is unable to properly bargain with his telecommunications company, thats his fault, not the IPHONE's. People sure do blame EVERYTHING on the iPhone HA, even when they're pushovers.

I'm paying about 70 Canadian per month for my voice and data plan, and btw, I do live by myself, I'm in my last year of university and I've paid for everything up till now, its not incredibly expensive to own an iPhone, its maybe 20 dollars more a month compared to a standard feature phone, but then I can't check my email and stuff like that on the go.

Everyone says the iPhone is a toy but it can do everything a top of the line Nokia or Android or blackberry can do. Simply because it has a better interface, people say the phone is too easy or too simple to use. When a phone does a take quicker and simpler than other phones out there, I say its a GOOD phone, I don't know why other people think differently.

I've used the N82, N97, E71, blackberry 9000, and the iPhone 3GS. The iPhone blows them all out of the water. I'm not some chump who simply went from a crappy feature phone to an iPhone and thinks the iPhone is the phone of all phones. I've been around the block and tried everything out, its the best phone, has the best software and thus, makes it the best all round phone.

rIZ, 25 Feb 2010Yeah iphone is for kids! easy to use! :pagree

what i like on iphone is their very smooth flick scrolling on capacitive screen
multitouch to zoom (but nokia can have multitouch zoom too)
some nice looking and simple icons and theme(found in mobile safari)
capacitive screen make device look elegant and not cheap, very durable, it is the way to go no matter you agree or not

nokia wins in all other areas that have not mentioned above

JohnBo, 25 Feb 2010I didn't say it has every single FEATURE, no the iPhone doe... moreare you high,

i've being checking my bank account and minutes and every other manageable things like uni projects on my N85

yes a non touch, non qwerty phone,

i'm really money conscious and have to keep a tight budget, i dont take my laptop unless i need to type everything else like checking sites i do with a N85,

its even a MP3 player, 5MP cam, GPS and expandable memory

i use my N85 as a flash drive, just keep the MIRCO usb cable in my bag and thats it

the iphone cost more than double with the 3G, 3GS is even more

i get more than double the minutes than my friend gets on his iphone and i pay half as much per month only for the sim, i bought the phone on my own for half the iphone 3g price and it does everything

yes checking things would be easier on a TOUCHSCREEN SMARTPHONE

and iphone is not the only TOUCHSCREEN Smartphone

theres nothing wrong with buying a iphone, its just INSANELY expensive

Even though i can afford it but when you live on your own and understand how to spend on food, transport, basic health care etc

than you come to realise what the iphone is worth

theres no app out there that is worth enough to spend so much on an iphone

its just an expensive toy they everyone can throw complaints at like no multi tasking, bad camera etc..

                            later bro

Given Samsung's sales volume, The Bada OS would have to be a success. Surely developers will want a piece of the action, specifically if the Bada platform will
be included on a wide range of Samsung devices.
                              But then who knows?

Do you have an expense tracker on your N900? Can you instantly check how much data/minutes you have left for the month? Can you check your bank account balance? NO YOU CAN'T on the N900, but you can on the iPhone. I don't know why people are touting the N900 as a much more usable phone that the iPhone, the iPhone has better software therefore it can do MORE, PERIOD.

And don't give me some BS about how the N900 has a few more mega pixels or some crap like that, if I want to take good pictures, there is something I have called a DSLR.

Just bcoz some ppl prefer to spend their time on other activities, be that having a good time with their love ones, families & friends, playing with the kids, sports, watch TV, volunteer work for others, etc...anything except spending hours on figuring out how the phone should work the way they want, these ppl are being bashed by the almighty brand's fanboys for not thinking, being silly, almost everything as negative as possible.

I'd bet your (much) better half or your mom would spend the time cooking for your instead of managing their N900...if they've any. Or do you prefer to cook your own food? Then u'll have no time to "manage" your N900!

Don't tell me u want to get food from McDonald as most their don't spend their time to "manage" their phones (or N900 if u want), bcoz according to your theory, anyone NOT using N900 or "managing their phones all the time" are s...., so why get food from s....ppl?
