Anon E. Mouse, 25 Feb 2010Capacitive screen vs. Resistive. 5MP camera vs. 3.2MP. 256M... moreIts has got virtually the same spec to the 2 years old 5800 (with the jan update). Esp the processor. They sud have at least upgraded the processor. Even the one year old samsung JET has double the processor. We all know S60 5th is a hardware intensive OS. Even RAM seem to fill up with just loading the OS, forget about multitasking. I really feel cheated at this price range.

Admitedly, it would be a good handset if the price is around $350 but not with the $455 price tag considering Nexus One $529 price tag. I would like to see Nokia creating handset with similar specs to N1 with symbian at the same ($529) price tag.

        miserable experience with YouTube (and
the other video sharing sites we tested).
Half the time, the player wouldn't even
load and when it did, simply turning the
        phone in landscape orientation was
enough to crash the browser. That's what GsmArena said.

S60v5 is buggy. 434 Mhz, especially the 128 Mb RAM cannot sustain it. They need to increase the RAM and processing power. Let me ask you something, how many free RAM do you get after booting? Try to open a heavy web while listening to music."

N97 was a failure in it's first days due to buggy software. Just like half of other smartphones these days. But, the software update solved these issues. N97 has also been a big seller for Nokia. Yet they openly admit the problems. That kind of honesty would be unheard of Apple, for example. I personally appreciate honest communication from Nokia. Others should follow this good example.

This discussion is however about X6. It does not have a buggy software, it works just fine. 256MB of internal memory hasn't been a problem for me at least. Yes, we all know that X6's built-in web browser is not the best in the world speedwise, but it supports flash and is very accurate with pages. And you can switch for Opera for example, if speed is your first priority.

A failure like the 5800? A failure? Look, dude, 5800 has been selling really, really well. By no means is it a failure. And talking about trendy, I for one find X6 design very good looking. It is clearly modern and fresh and avoids the boring round-edged average joe design like Nexus One and whole Samsung lineup. Even iPhone (which everyone is suppesd to admire) is design-wise boring and too wide compared to X6.

Menu things can operate better than this new coming devices at 1Ghz, like video recording or displaying nVIDE video at 30fps, where androids and winmo has possibility of lesser than 24fps, that means in menu TV sets video will flicker or interlace.
This CPU's on different %MHz numbers, you'll not get the truth about it's speed by just naming it in hundreds of MHz, it's important how much (MIPS) or Millions of Instructions for Seconds CPU can operate at time, and how the software is built for it to consume all the CPU resources or maybe they leak and warm CPU, and by warming it causes to drying battery or maybe explode like often happens with iphone devices..lol.

Question is have you got dots for it?

Oh no! Not another S60 5th with paltry 128MB of RAM and 2008 clock speed. This one with capacitive screen, no less. You'll spend all your time checking the RAM, worrying about which app the CPU might euthanize. They're all very nice, except for these (decidedly stupid) shortcomings. Heck, I 'd grab another N97 if Nokia ever decided to up the RAM and CPU. I'll wait for the Vivaz

Why can't Nikia use a processor that's still relavant in today's cellphone market. This ia a flagship class phone, why doesn't it have a cortext A8 or snap dragon. For that price, I would expect better internal.
