First Symbian^4 demo videos spotted, innovations missing

26 February, 2010
A few weeks back there were some speculations about Symbian's future but as it seems, Nokia aren't keen on leaving the most popular smartpone OS in the mud. Instead, Symbian OS is on its way to a total...

I think is too early to speculate. This news looks like a false alarm. But if it´s true, the OS has the rights to be a simple and naked as soon is fully operational, supporting all the currently and near future hardware features. And that is because Symbian most probably goes for many phone manufactures, not only nokia. And all of them will most probably customize the system on their own needs and/or what they think will seduce more costumers. So, I think the basic Symbian^4 fails to showoff now, but the manufactures won´t allow that... Let´s wait and see...
Just to add I heard that Windows Phone 7 Series will be a unique non-customized phone for all. So.. what do you prefer?

I think nokia should gave up this older symbian & give more concentration towards Maemo...
Maemo has the ability to fight against Android or Bada, not Symbian.

This is obviously not a good video, and noone argues that Symbian needs a complete rewamp. But videos of Symbian^3 look promising, and this Symbian^4 animation should not be taken seriously. Expect good things...Nokia hardware with Symbian^3! Gonna be great!

Nice, but for me just looks like and adaption of Android features to Symbian. Nothing new, no surprises. Nokia need a really good idea to stay the leader in the market.

well I think nokia is trying to make things simple because my parents can;t use compecated handsets so it could be fine for them but ... not for rest...

i think it's fake or incomplete, because symbian 4 is still too much future.
