Finally a mate 8,using the mate 7 now and its still a beast it will get marshmallow and all but i will get this one when it comes out.

I never had any issue whatsoever with the software. It was always ready to deliver maximum output. I am looking forward to Mate 8.

This is gr8. I am using Mate 7, and I think FHD screen is enough. I would rather have battery life crazy long as Mate 7 then QHD display. These are exact specifications I was hoping for! With new Kirin 950 this will flow perfectly and break every benchmark record and I am so glad Kirin 950 will have great GPU. Finally Huawei, it was about time to upgrade GPU on your HighSilicon line....

Based on my experience with Huawei phones even the flagship ones I don't recommend any of their phone products , simply they can’t reach or even touch the professionalism level of other manufacturers in terms of software / UI integrity. Although they make tough hardware but inside the phone will not be that happy with software, needless to say it lay behind every body when comes to OTA update.

The only explanation I can see is that it uses most of the parts from the Nexus 6P, and could therefor release a handset without much development cost.
BUT.. The Nexus 6P is not as such a part of the Huawei lineup, as they did not develop it for them self's, and should the throw away this great opportunity to get some recognition as a quality brand?
Apple does not have 1 flagship anymore... they have 2 sizes...
All major players has smaller and larger handsets and then some cheaper models, looking more or less like there premium siblings.
Why only go for one market segment, when you can go for more?
(I do however agree that Samsung has the largest and most incomprehensible lineup)

Its weird, huawei is starting to become samsung in terms of marketing, and i dont think that it is a good thing..
Huawei released P8 max, P8 lite and P8, THEN after just few weeks or months, thwy announ ed Mate S again, followed by Nexus 6P for just a brief time. If this is to be true that they are gonna announce Mate 8 as early as this month, then all their previous handsets will be kind of redundant..
Because if i were to buy a phone, obviously i would want to buy the latest. And im pretty sure thats something many people want.
And this, nexus 6p should have opted to kirin 950 not the s810 which sucks (fyi, qualcom claims that they revised the s810 to v. 2.1 but according to careful examination by the experts, they found out that there were no major improvement over its older version.)
By the way, too much realeases of different phones is never a good thing.
im a iphone hater, but i somehow admire the fact that they are sticking to 1 flagship each year.

I am quite the contrary. The point of getting a big phone is I want a big screen. The virtual keys occupy the screen space that I want so I am glad to see they use the capacitive buttons.

1080p sucks @6" phones. way pixelated for highend phones(don't say human eye can't see stuff, i can clearly see the pixels). We have to care display clarity amd quality when we are paying that much money.
8mp of iphone camera is good but not best and atmost its not better than z5's 23mp camera.
Please don't compare with age old z3 here.
Pixel quality alone cannot do the job. Pixel count+pixel quality= picture quality.
Please stop praising iphone's camera its just okay for that price definitely not the best they offer for that price.
