I have notice that V10 does get very hot. I don't know if it is due to the thin plastic back cover, the way it vents the heat or my protective might be blocking its vent.

Secondary display is brilliant. It's a scrolling dock, with pages for favorite apps and contacts so they can be accessed from anywhere. I usually have to root a phone to be able to jump around like that.

I bought this 4 days ago. I want to say it's hot but the battery life just kills me. I'm coming from a Note 3 that had exceptional battery life. With my V10 I have to charge it later in the afternoon just to be able to use it. If iit wasn't for the battery life, I'd love it.

It has to be hot. The phone is innovative. It has more features than anything else on the market. It is the first phone since whenever to eschew thin fashionable glass for durable functional engineering. By making the anti-Samsung phone LG is trying, successfully I hope, to win back its reputation as a leader rather than a follower.

I haven't bought mine yet. I need the international version that isn't out yet.

If its screen size was 4.7" - 5.0" it was so much hot, But now with this size & spec's it's not a competitor to the note 5 & 6s plus (The Hot phablets).

AnonD-41599, 09 Nov 2015Who cares about the chip? I am not playing games. Everythin... moreI agree.
And even if you were playing games with the device, the Snapdragon 808 would not be an issue. All reviews, including GSMarena's show that it's more than a capable SoC with the advantage of reliability in terms of performance over time compared to the SD810 which throttles after a while. It performs any task without any issue, so who cares?

Reviews even showed a throttled SD810 was less powerful than a SD808. Both SoCs can shoot 4K, play games, allow for amazing pictures and provide seamless communications.... What's the point in talking endlessly about that??

And saying (in the article) that LG has no excuse not to have used such a disappointing SoC as SD810 just because Microsoft managed to implement in a smart way is ridiculous. The latest Lumia 950 series was announced merely over a month ago, LG would have to be spying on Microsoft in order to get the same solution and announcing its V10 in early October.

They did the sensible thing : using a proven and equally capable SoC apart from the benchmarks department instead of wasting R&D time and money into fixing Qualcomm's mistake just like Microsoft did (obviously, MS did great, I'm just saying they did not necessarily HAVE to).

I can deal with comments endlessly talking about a "modest/mid-range" SD808, but an actual article!

Of course it isn't hot. It used Snapdragon 808 instead of 810.

Damn this joke is getting old.

Akinaro, 08 Nov 2015Its not perfect phone but its definitely hot. And peopl... moreYea man I hear you there, I like my V10. Battery life is perfectly fine for me, I charge it at the end of the day an I have no issues.

Performance is great, I can have like 27 screens open an not even realize it. Heat is nice too, doesn't any warmer than warm ;3

An the camera, video shooting features an that Ess Sabre Dac are all great for multimedia. That an the second screen PLUS the double tap on an off are a god send! What people don't realize is the only time your using the battery at full capacity is while browsing. I use my second screen for a lot of things, answering calls, checking the time, I can connect to wifi from the second screen with the 5.7 display off an I get to use my flashlight too!

                                      It looks hot!
The second screen is really gimmicky though. Then again it's the first generation. They need to make it more useful for the model to sell good:
                                      - perhaps hold down icons in the secondary screen to drop down menus in the main?
                                      - or hold down to open the app on top of your current app (split screen style).
                                      - Make use of the always on screen like a smart watch (fitness tracking, counter, weather)
                                      - quick access to documents, web-pages, photos
                                      - quick access to a "mirror" app. Last minute checking of face before you meet anyone important is always useful. The phone has two front cameras! It would be nice to have depth information of zits so I know whether it's worth covering up or go home!

                                      Just a thought

LG V10 is great and wonderful. But a matter of pain is extra size hard to keep in pocket and knee down.
We expect more about multi-tasking like floating window, smooth cut paste... more powerful battery, faster fingerprint, and less stumbling...though all android phone stumble after heavy use like 4K video taking, playing games etc.(screen becomes black after a sudden quit).
