Nokia phones are always so interesting, good or not. Even haters always takes their precious time to post some comment to every Nokia phone. Hate it or love it but no one can ignore. That's a very big achievement in corporate and business world.

GUYS THIS ISN'T MEANT TO BE AN "I-PHONE KILLER"
Its meant to be a cheap budget phone that has good functionality for the price. And the speecs havent been released yet so don't judge it.

so does it have wifi or it's like a slider version of 5230xm? i assume it has the same cpu of 5800 and n97 (maybe over-clocked to 600hz) and same 125mb ram, vga cam,,,
for me any symbian device should not cost something more than 250 unless it has a 1ghz cpu (which i doubt from nokia!)

Nokia is marketleader selling 431M phones last year, 40% of total market. They lost initial battle for Smartphones but you can bet they will come back strong, releasing maps for free and opening Symbian codes is just first step. Meanwhile with these kind of phones they will remain marketleader without a doubt, features - quality and low prices. Who cares who is technology leader, what did it bring HTC with it's NexusOne?

Nick, 13 Mar 2010Sorry guys but can someone tell me what's the point in maki... moreWell You got a point, the samsung is big company end good phone maker, but sun as they find out wot costumers really want, they make one phone of it's kind just like omnia HD, but then they leave miserable unsupported, unupdated or unfixed issues that hackers have to play their game on it, and high price for numbers, and often samsung devices die for non known reason, and it will cost a lot to repair or you can keep in pocket a brick, that's why menu people don't trust samsung phones.

Nick, 13 Mar 2010Sorry guys but can someone tell me what's the point in maki... moreNokia stepped away from the race a long time ago, they innovated till N95 and pretty much made that the base for all their phones

they play it really smart, almost every nokia phone hits the right target and some go even further like the E71 which among on-screen qwerties, bb's, winmos, etc, it still found the right people and was a major success. Even now the E71 sells pretty well

the something with the 5800, rite pricing, good balance of specs on top of everything the free navigation.. these are the things that keep nokia on top.

the 5800 is still one of the best budget smartphones that rivals all of the lg cookies and samsung stars

Sorry guys but can someone tell me what's the point in making simpler phones ? i mean steping backward . I've never used any of the nokia Touch enabled phones , but i'm updated about them , are they just repeating themself or just losing the battle against themself ? SE used to be like this befor extinction ! who is the leader now ? i mean inovation leader ? Hate to say it but man Samsung is giving us something new everyday and these pros . . . ?

                                  some people around here

                                  one thing!

And that is that this device is intendet for a certain sector of the market. If you can't understand a marketing strategy and you only post saying "oh..nokia's done something bad, doesn't compare to X, Y" ..it is clear that YOU DO NOT GET THE POINT ... so it would just be better for everyone if you would just shut up

To explain in SIMPLE terms so SIMPLE people can understand. Nokia is trying to reduce costs while improving features. keeping the price as low as they can, preserve phone quality and try to get a lot of freatures snd specs on-board

It's not profitable to put a lot on it and sell for nothing as well as it's not profitable the other way around. The WHOLE point is to do more with less !
