Wait a minute iSheep fans, I thought iOS didn't need more than 2Gb of ram so why release a 3Gb model? Is it because Apple forgot how to really innovate over the years or do they finally really want to give you more bang for your buck?

Doubt they'll go to 3gb ram, not whilst they can do what they need to with 2gb.
Current trend in iPhones has been for a RAM increase every 3rd generation device more or less (3GS - ip4 being the obvious exception) unless they have some major changes in mind for ios10 then they will probably keep to that.

But official waterproofing means it being covered by warranty, and as you say people don't care much, so it may just be an additional risk. If they are sure it would work they probably will add it though.

I don't believe either of these rumors, sorry.
iPhones are already very water resistant, even if they do not carry an official waterproof rating. So waterproofing the phone does not make much sense. People don't buy phones because of their waterproof rating.
As for the 3GB RAM rumor, well Apple has just bumped the 6S series to 2GB, so this is where it will stay for the next year or two anyway. They already outperform everything else on the market thanks to good RAM management and incredible CPU engineering.

I have a 4S and after 3 years is moving very well, is still a serious competitor to existing phones. Since iOS 8/9 go a little harder but still fast enough.
Too bad the screen is small compared with current models, otherwise as construction quality, reliability, battery autonomy (as the first day you) is for me the best phone.
