I'm huge fun of Sony... Please Sony don't sell your mobile business... I have Sony Xperia Z3 and extremely satisfied. Also my smart TV is Sony too. Sony is amazing. Better than any Samsung. I will never buy Samsung phone, lags very much, look like toy for children. But Xperia looks and feels so premium... For me Sony is better than iphone and any brand... SONY IS THE BEST...

When i first bought Sony Ericsson T series model, I felt this company is the future because i had bought a Nokia 6600 as first mobile and was never satisfied... anyway, lets hope Sony keeps on moving, their cameras are being used by others and all Chinese mobiles are putting their cameras. Adios, good night, brother

AnonD-148258, 23 Nov 2015as i have always said... SONY is the bestHeck yeah my friend. I never had a Android device that wasn't Sony Ericsson/Sony in my entire life. Actually, I don't think I ever had a phone of another brand. Although their own official updates may be not that good sometimes, I love their hardware, I love the finishing and the design of their products and I love the way they cooperate with the community. Dude, a wt19a that was sold with gingerbread have lollipop upgrade (5.1!) thru their collaboration and the community work. It was released in 2011, think about it! It's close to what Google itself does. It would be really sad if they decide to step out the mobile market. Meanwhile the crappy Samsung make some millions of bucks with their crappy stuff. That's sad.

I know this is Android and by now we are used to take all sorts of crap, but that is just sad and makes no justice what-so-ever to Sony.

I must say the thing I most like about Sony (and truly puts them in my purchase radar) is the commitment to AOSP... Yet, SOMEHOW, this is the thing they (and their fans) least mention!
So many more phones (outside of flagships) they are actually supporting via AOSP and they chose to almost hide their involvement and keep silent about it. -- Now that is odd!

When they should be marketing left-and-right this "Nexus-like" experience even in devices that usually are dead support-wise, they are just being wasteful of their own investment and throwing that major selling-point out the window.

It is great that Sony own itself chipsets, I support Sony, Go, do it Sony, but build more quickly app just one touch and appear quicker, just keep the same 23 megapixel but improve it again and again, no need to upgrade to high pixel. Thank You Sony, Love

Sony stuff looks pretty, but their software updates could definitely be more timely.

SONY wanna use their trademark OmniSlash design until 2020? They lost their stylish design DNA since Xperia Z

Captain Obvious, 22 Nov 2015Umm I think they want profits, so cutting prices kinda defe... moreNot necessarily, that's an economy of scale that brings higher profits, something which low-cost brands have been doing for quite a while.

The real issue is what it does to brand perception. Sony should be just as premium as Apple, but they fail to be so... they release their models way too fast, which causes the older model to drop its price dramatically (they have tried to address this at retail, but the second-hand market is still ruthless).

Lowering prices would put them at odds with the Chinese phone makers, to which low-cost is their home turf. Sony has the right formula, they need to go premium and sell the best hardware with the best build, they just need to hold-on a little longer.

Cutting production costs means even less quality control and more flawed phones((
For now, roughly 1 of 3 new sony phones have defects, what`s next? 1 of 2 broken?

Those are one of the factors affecting their sales, probably. If they would able to overcome those issues, they may surpass the sales of either sammy's or apple's. As a consumer, i am one of the users that loves having hard buttons. If not possible to this company, then just separate the basic buttons from the display screen of the phone. It consumes the screen resolution tho when multimedia is not played(games, video, etc).
