The device you have selected does not support software upgrade"

The update for 2.1 for the i5700 is not available through New PC Studio at the moment. It is currently being worked on at the moment to resolve the issue. Unfortunately there is no time scale for the upgrade but please keep checking back to the software
there isnt any update yes all these web sites saying you can update they are wrong you cant yet

Arun, 22 Mar 2010Anyone able to successfully update to 2.1? NPS gives the... moreUnless you live in a countries (e.g. Germany) where the update is available, I dont think there is no way you can get the update for now. You might as well wait until next month when (hopefully) the update becomes available to other countries.

yogiuk, 17 Mar 2010Kies can't see the phone, PCStudio is saying that device is... moreUncheck the option "USB as storage only" under settings so NPC can find your phone. If this option is enabled, there is no way your phone will be recognised and it will only see your card, but not your phone.

Does all this really matter though when its only available in the UK on z-grade networks T-Mobile and Virgin. Samsung ignored the email i sent them weeks ago asking when it would be available on a proper network!

poor support from samsung! why should we count on the upcoming stuff while the existing stuff is being overlooked like this completely ? people are struggling to upgrade to the latest version still no luck! they dont even remember they released something called !7500 ever in the past! poor driver support, 3-4 so called "pc suites" for the same product and mind blowing errors "the pc suite is not exist"!!! complete disappointment from shamsung. is this how they deal with their consumers? m alreadt done with them PERIOD

Samsung spica has a better processor than Galaxy i7500 so i7500 will not get the update.
But There is news that a Galaxy2 is in pipeline and looks quiet lot sexier. expect it in the range of $450~550 with snapdragon chip. and a 3.7" display.
