jtad12, 18 Mar 2010Pc studio doesn't support windows 7 64bit at this stageno Win 7 64 bit support for NPS or Kies software.
Samsung MP3 players also use Kies.
It is possible to purchase a Samsung laptop running Win 7 64bit that has a free samsung MP3 player and not be able to connect the two.

1. Pc Studio 7 is the samsung rip off of Nokia PC suite. its for use with their Symbian Handsets. eg I8910, I8510
2. This handset is meant to use the new Kies software which can be downloaded from their website.
3. the New PC Studio software which was provided with the handset will also work.
4. Germany only for Europe updates. no dates for when other countries will go live. will be dependant on existing home updates samsung. UK where i am its not bloody likely to ever work.
5. I7500 no chance of 2.1 on this one. the I7500 has been limited to 1.6. if samsung ever get their finger out and release an update is a whole other can of worms

Dear All
You can only upgrade using the pc suite that comes on the CD with the box. You can NOT using samsung pc studio 7 which u can download from the internet.
Besides, after i installed the PC suite from the CD, it said (update not available) and i have checked in many other forums, that it is saying that because the update is only available for Germany at the moment.

There are a few good apps that use flash(as in camera flash), i5700 doesn't have a flash, pity that ! lol

got my update today (the german version) and its running perfect, couldn`t find any bugs so far. i love it. but i got so a lot more to discover :)

Not this way, Samsung! All users do not have Windows in their computers and PC Studio 7 will not work with WINE under Linux. Samsung should offer easier platform independent way to complete the update process.

Oh no... I tried installing the new pc studio that came along with the phone. But I couldn't even connect the phone to my pc studio, it kept saying another program is using it !!!!>.< I wonder wht's the difference between new pc studio and samsung pc studio 7? !!!!! I would love to upgrade it now!!!!

We only hope it rolls out quickly to the other regions as well.
