Samsung says the Galaxy Tab Pro won't ever get Lollipop or Marshmallow

24 November, 2015
While most people are hoping their Android devices will at some point see a Marshmallow update, there are those still stuck on KitKat. For example, Samsung's Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 launched last year with Android 4.4 on board, and so far it hasn't seen any big OS updates.

fú c-k-in g Shamedung, I paid RRP for my Tab Pro 10.1 when it was out and now... not even ONE significant update since its kitkat release.
Shamedung get your sh|t together seriously by stop releasing an over-saturated number of devices and instead focus on software updates.

This is why Samsung's strategy of doing too many devices is going to hurt them. They'd do well to consolidate down to maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of their models will mean better designs and better support.

It will also be wiser if we avoid any of those that have extra titles (Neo, Ultra, Plus, etc.). They also have a bigger chance of being abandoned.

For me, Samsung have to realize they can't please everyone by providing devices in every size and price range. They need only 4 kind of devices in their entire lineups: Galaxy S, Galaxy Note phablet, Galaxy Note tablet, and Galaxy Tab S. More than that, well, we have seen what has already happened.

I very much like samsung, but I think this is samsung just being lazy and disloyal with their costumers, which is idiotic. And I fear that will happen for marshmallow with my phone in the future...

The hardware in this tablet should run Marshmallow without any issues, but yet Samsung just shown the middle finger to the poor idiots who bought it....
Also UK is a major market, dunno if they don't get it, then who will.

Not even 1 update? Snapdragon 800, made in 2014 and is already abandoned? Nexus 7 from f*cking 2012 got 5.1.1 and this is still running 4.4?
Manufacturers like Shamesung make android sound like poop.

That is the problem with Samsung. They release so many devices that they can no longer give support to most of them. And to think they put the PRO label on this one. Samsung galaxy A, E and J line ups. What a mess.
