Anonymous, 21 Mar 2010yr news is dated 2003 dude. Now is 2010 already. Going down... moreDid you read the news before you posted?

        Here is the relevant part:-

"HTC also used the occasion to remind the audience of some of their achievements including the first Windows PDA (1998)

--- the first Windows Phone (June 2002), ---

the first Google Android smartphone (October 2008), etc. We aren't particularly sure what that has to do with whether the company is infringing the Apple's patents or not but still."

        It should read:-

"copied first Windows phone (June 2002)"

Before you comment, make sure you have at least the smallest amount of understanding.

Once a rip off copy cat, always a rip off copycat.

HTC should develop their own phones not just take the ideas of those who contract them to make them for them.

They WILL go down, Google will leave them like a sitting duck, a patsy to take the fall, then move on to someone else.

Anonymous, 21 Mar 2010Can't face up to facts, huh? Go back to your dreamworld... moreFact of the matter remains that Apple is suing HTC, irrespective of whether they copy ideas or not, your argument is moot. All this talk of competition or ripping off or as you put it 'photocopying' - if this increases choice for the consumer is that a bad thing? The consumer makes their mind up, not you. The consumer spends their money, not yours.

apple are losing alot of money to competition not only to htc though sounds like sour grapes but if i was running apple i would do the same as competition means being a competitor by any means necessary so it only makes sense they would do this. they dont like the fact they have competition and they cant have that large share in the market they have been sitting comfortably on for past few years. it was only a matter of time other companies caught up and brought forward the competition apple have paniced and resorted to barrel scraping mesures in my opinion

                            Go back to your dreamworld.

The WinMo phone HTC mentioned in their response was a straight rop off of the Sendo at the instigation of Microsoft, look it up, they were exactly the same hardware in a different case.

They ripped off the SonyEricsson X1, changed the case and resold the same hardware under the HTC brand so SonyEricsson won't use them again.

I guess the reason Microsoft didn't trust them to make the Zune is because they don't want to compete against a HTC rip off.

                            HTC photocopier company.

Why innovate when you can copy.

                              [deleted post]You reckon?

HTC has never innovated anything, they just copy stuff that people ask them too.

O2, iMate, SonyEricsson (learnt their lesson after HTC ripped off the X1), Google, Microsoft etc send them the plans and HTC just put them together.

They've got nothing to defend themselves with.

If HTC think companies like Microsoft and Google care about what happens to one of their contractors, they are in for a big shock when they go find someone else to be their photocopier.

Apple invented the mobile phone in 2007. Before that nobody, just nobody ever know anything about mobile phone. So stop all these arguments and congratulate Steve Jobs for inventing the mobile phone.
