Guys iam just back from new York...the trip was great....just back and my Lumia 950 white arrived from amazon white color...I brought surface pro 4 from new York and totally lovin it...
I saw the Lumia 950 in new York there also prices after taxes came to around 580$ soo that's around 39000 and no free display dock...
soo in india 43k with free display dock is very good price...
iam happy with my purchase of Lumia 950 white color and gonna install my mozo case red leather with gold rim...I got limited edition Lumia 950..

Amazon is offering a gift card of 3k for selling your old lumia on ReGlobe. That results in 8k for the 1520 which is now close to 2 years old? If you find a better price to sell your 2 year used 1520, then go for it.
I am selling in my 630 which I bought for 9k year and half back. I'll be selling that on ReGlobe for 700 bucks. Yes, 700. This, with the 3k gift card, makes the actual buyback for my phone to be 3.7k, while it's selling price is now 7k. That is a great value for the buyback! ;)

for me, this is for now by far the best of all phones out there I think this is a well thought device that a lot of people are looking for the coolest thing that they incorporate is the Dock-price?-but literally with this and the phone you are with a pocket pc right in your hand what else a lot of it

Show me a single phone(not chinese) which has same config selling at your expected price. All the phone which at launch will have price like this and will reduce price after 1 or 2 month. Camera and Continuum in this phone u cant match with anything in Andriod/Iphone.

8 New Features Of Lumia 950 & 950 XL
1.Windows Hello
Microsoft wants to dump passwords with Windows 10, and its Windows Hello platform is a step towards that. The new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones can track your eye using the integrated iris scanner to identify the user and unlock the device. No need to place your thumb on the fingerprint sensor here.

Continuum
One of the key features of Windows 10 is Continuum, which allows the new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL to act as a desktop. You just need to connect the smartphones to a monitor, keyboard and mouse using the official Microsoft Display Dock and all the Windows 10 universal apps will adjust the resolution to fit the external display.

Water-cooled processor
Microsoft has chosen the Snapdragon 810 processor for the Lumia 950 XL smartphone. However, the processor is known for its heating issues, which is why the company has used a water-cooling system to dissipate the heat. Microsoft has not revealed how this setup works in the smartphone, which is the first one in the world to feature this type of technology.
Lumia 950, which is powered by the Snapdragon 808 chipset, does not have water-cooling technology.

QHD display
For the first time, Microsoft has used a QHD display in its Lumia line of smartphones. Both Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL sports 1440x2560p resolution, which pack four times the pixels compared to a HD panel.
The highest display resolution for a Windows Phone handset till now has been Full HD (1080x1920p) only.

More RAM
With Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft has used 3GB RAM in smartphones for the first time. This, coupled with the new processors, would mean that the two smartphones will beat last year’s model by a mile and compete easily with the Android phones and iPhones of 2015.

Better cameras
Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL feature the same camera setup: 20MP PureView camera on the back and 5MP selfie in the front. The rear camera has Zeiss lens, records 4K videos, and features optical image stabilization. Additionally, the phones have triple-LED flash for better low-light photos; Microsoft says the three-LED flash setup will not wash out the colours in the photos.

Bigger batteries
Compared to last year’s models, Lumia 950 (3,000mAh) and Lumia 950 XL (3,340mAh) have much bigger batteries, thus the two will last longer on a single charge.

USB Type C
USB Type C is another new feature of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, and will ensure fast data transfer and quick-charging. Microsoft claims that it will be able to provide 50% of battery with just 30 minutes of charge.

Wow.. People pls note that the box will have display dock too.. If you don't want that display dock then pls wait until they sell it without the one. Then price will go down to 35000INR. The display dock costs around 6000INR. The price is very close to the expected price 550$(nearly 35000INR) for 950 and 650$(nearly 40000INR) for 950XL. The display dock has increased price too. Pls do the sum..
Considering the retail package the price is very reasonable. The alternate for this phone regardless of OS is nexus 6p else xiomi redmi note3. As far as I know, For the first time price in Indian market is lesser than Europe and US. MS can not give display dock for free as they are not running any charity org.
Please compare the features and price of flagships with this one then decide whether price is high or reasonable. Sorry if you count app store as a feature.. Just my point of view.

Even with the continuum feature and dock included, the price of the handsets are too high for people to consider a windows phone in India. People should wait for the price to drop to a more acceptable amount.

wow ! , just connect the phone with a big display using display dock and it will be a simple laptop. you can see full windows 10 on the display. with universal apps running like in a laptop. for basic business users using office , mail and browsing and for entertainment users who want big screen movies, it is a laptop replacement. many apps will surely support this feature to make it a full laptop replacer soon.
