My experience with win 6.1 was very dissappointing, so I moved over to Android, which has been great up to now. I'm actually impressed with new WP7. I think an actually touch test will give really prove and good it is.

With so many Microsoft Windows users in the world (not just the US: hello Apple.), I believe that 2011 will belong to Microsoft with the WP7 when regular folks just realize that Microsoft can offer a phone as user friendly as the MePhone.

I think that if they put out ads like this around release time that they will do very well. Old Winmo devices only appealed to a niche consumer group and business users. Ads like this are aimed directly at stealing away iPhone users. If they put the money behind the marketing strategy then I think Windows Phone 7 will be off to a great start and actually create a buzz about Windows Mobile that has never been there before.

This add is not veyr smart, it showes that the small kid will play with the phone instead of playing with friends, and what is that the future of the kids- only playing on computers and phones and no movement.

Notice also how you never see this OS running in landscape unless its a photo or a game or a movie, the hubs do not work in landscape.
Symbian^3 and ^4 will look great when finished, they are aways off at present and ^3 is currently better looking than ^4
MeeGo will add a whole different level also

Tha... moreIt doesn't matter if it looks good with all those cool effects what matters is what it does ....I doubt if the wm7 phones will have a decent battery life to match many symbian devices out there don't be decieved by just the UI there are many things to consider before crowning this OS the king

Everyone is trying to re-invent the wheel. The iPhone still dominates and microsoft phone is a jack of all trades master of none.

It looks good as far as the UI goes...clean and uncluttered, unlike a lot of the current touchscreen phones available today...

Blackberry needs to step up. Despite Rimm advancing in market share I think they have failed to realize that consumers now demand an intuitive touch interface. They don't want 3 layers of old school menus. They don't want outdated sluggish software. They don't want bulky form factors and they definitely don't want a phone with . Consumers don't want a phone to take 2 minutes to boot up.
I know this is a windows 7 post, but when I see Microsoft making a commitment to the mobile industry even when the chips are stacked against them relative to market share; I can't help but think Rimm just doesn't get it and as a loyal BB user I am sad.

This looks exactly as Palm's last week ad. First Microsoft copy the webOS "cards" to make "hubs", now the ad. What's the point of an ad so much before the launch... They took the Apple cheesy music too.
