      Standby times on build 10586.29 is a lot better than 10586.11 on my Lumia 630. On the previous build i used to lose 10-20% at night while keeping the wi-fi on. On the newer build i lost just 5-7% while wifi was on. Usage time is also improved

        I don't know with what kind of update was this test of XL but about almost 11hr is quite enough(at least for me). OS will be polished in few months so I consider XL be successful work of art. I just wish it would also support Mpen, it would made it must-have from want-have.

              As a Quad Platform user on different devices, Tests must be retest in each major or addressing battery life test.
              iOS 9 aggressively improved battery life in 5s and 6.
              Lollipop 5.0.1 killed Battery life in N5, but addressed the issue in 5.1.1, so the memory still weak point but battery becomes better than KitKat.
              Lollipop 5.0.2 was stable in S6 edge, but after 5.1.1 update better battery life, bad memory management.
              8.1 Denim in WP is good and bad.
              Lumia 920 saw significant improvement in battery life, L930 did not see such neither battery life nor overall performance.L1520 becomes the beast of Windows Phone.L1020 improves the camera, battery life and mid rangers:
              L820 never met Low battery during the same procedures done before.
              L830 battery is not so much difference.

              The point here is that anyone in WXM era know that this version of OS is still under improvement.
              Microsoft was able to mark it under construction and limited its features just like what happened after WP7 in favor of WP8. Now WP8.1 is grown up. Next two update will tell the real battery life.

              Most tests in this manner are valid, while too many tests are preloaded test and intentionally or unintentionally this makes them invalid.

              Just like performance benchmarking which varies in same model from -35% of average to +35%, battery condition is dependable based on many factors available.

              A better way to test is to trust some experienced testers to co operate and give more valid result.

                      HI GSM Arena. I think you did a mistake with the lumia 950 and you think you can correct it with the 950XL. Your lumia 950 battery test was wrong but I gess you'll never change your mind! The lumia 950 web browsing is little bit higher compare to the Galaxy S6 (around 10 hours). I bought my 950 3 days ago and I own a S6 long time ago and did the tests!!!

                      But nobody can say Im wrong because How the 950XL can perform twice better than the 950. How? 6 core CPU 808 compare to 8 core CPU 810, Bigger screen, liquid cooling on the 950XL (the XL has just 10% more battery than the 950

                        so these 2 smartphones are supposed to be the savior of WP? Wonder what the fanboys will have to say about the battery life, because if this was a samsung or an apple flagship with these battery life, trolls will be all over the comment page.

                          I am really surprised at how bad the battery life is for both phones. I have Lumia 920 and after using for almost 2 years, I am quite happy with the battery life. And expected 950/950XL to go beyond based on the experience with wp8.1. Probably one more prove that windows mobile 10 is far from ready. I don't have any other explanation for these ridiculous results. Simply look at the tables, both phones are ages from the top.
