My point exactly, SE announced this phone almost a year ago to this day and only now do they release it! This is exactly why SE are in deep financial trouble, they used to produce phones people liked that were innovative and of good quality. But now they think they can flog a dead horse for $710 so they can minimise their financial troubles!? WTF?!

And as for you SE Fanboys, damn I didn't realise how desperate you lot are, YOU ARE CLINGING ONTO A SINKING SHIP!

Word of advice, JUMP SHIP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Kostas, 26 Mar 2010And why buy this and not the new I9000 Galaxy S from Samsung???"And why buy this and not the new I9000 Galaxy S from Samsung?"
(#1) i can buy a X10, but i'd have to wait till august to get the i9000.
(#2) i'm now using a htc magic: this means, i had to trade functions of my old phone, that i dont want to miss no longer:
(#a) look at the reviews of all motos and HTC's: none of them offers a audio player with decent specs. horrible noise rates and frequency curves.
(#b) look at the reviews of all motos and HTC's: none of them offers a camera hardware AND software that can compete even with the cheapes supermarket-digi-cam. i really don't need 8MPix, 5MPix would be sufficent - BUT i WANT a cam that works like a cam not this HTC s#!t.

Luke, 26 Mar 2010Phone looks nice but not sure how long Sony will support th... moreWell Luke, don't know what do you mean by supporting this device from Sony...but this is Android and Sony doesn't have to provide much support because Google will support X10 and any other Android phone.
This one is going to be long-term support.
Oh yeah, if you go for iPhone the only things you will do is download software from itunes store and play games...if you call that support...
This is X times better phone then the iPhone and will get update to new Android versions.

namez bond, 26 Mar 2010people that are bashing PEOPLE who were bashing the phone..... moreWow, Is that all you have? I am impressed!

Like I wrote, the are good and bad on the screen types, for instance, I want a screen I can use outdoors and indoors and TFT does an excellent job in both areas whereas the AMOLED is not as good outdoors.

Now, something that is upgradable to the current version of the OS at that particular time is technically not outdated. I bet by the time the X10 and the Nexus One run Android 2.2 people will start complaining about that the X10 is too small, LOL.

The best screen type as of now is the super OLED, judging by the pics and reviews I have seen/read. The TFT vs AMOLED argument is just not on at all.

Don't tell people to stop posting cause you cannot understand nor respond with facts on what's on the discussions. How about you check yourself first?!!

Coz Samsung Galaxy looks fugly and isn't released yet....

The X10 is one of the best looking phones ever!!, much better than the boring samsung/lg variants!

I dont know about the "Interphase" but the interface is great on this and looks good, though a little too blue. But all phones have their flaws and just like ppl, not any one is perfect, you just gotta look around! X10 great for everyday use and does pretty much everything you would need. And as long as you can upgrade the to new os its ok :D This is one of SE key phones will definitely be supported!

Price will come down people lol, if u cant afford then dont look, touch, talk, buy or comment about the phone. People just bashin on X10 for dumb reasons and for fun. Price will vary from different sellers, countries, markets etc don't just judge price from one source..

Just coz your a fan doesn't mean you look over the negative/flaws of the phone. Most consumers are rational buyers, and will consider many factors before deciding to purchase a product, such as phone.

Overall v.happy wit the SE X10 :P and guys Keep On Trollin ^^ any publicity is good publicity!

Already people are saying, why not buy phone a or b coming out this summer, hell, one should wait forever with that attitude, every month manufacturers announce new phones coming out next year or so.

And if you are willing to wait that long, you should be ready to wait another month or three when theres yet another announcement of a phone even better than the other..

Buy one today and you will lag behind tomorrow

In our country both the X10 and Nexus One are available. The X10 is at USD650 while the Nexus One is at USD715 while the HTC Hero is USD595. So I conclude that the X10 is reasonably priced.

There is no doubt that the Evo4G is the best specced phone at the moment closely followed by the GalaxyS but you can't claim the X10 is that far off.

If the user experience is bad then all the features in the world are a waste of time. As much as I am no Iphone fan but its user experience is unparalleled even with those outdated features.

So, the X10 still has a place in this cut throat and competitive industry and judging by the reviews on its UX platform it is looking very positive for the phone.

Most of the said differences or specs are subjective. I mean radio yes or no, USB3 yes or no. Everybody has its own taste. These features do not make major price diferences. One thing is for sure: if the price Tag for 770USD is true, then you get an equal handset for much less money. The X10 is indeed overpriced!...as for sure some other handsets from other manufacturers too, dont you think Mr. Jobs?
