26 March, 2010

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2010My iPhone is from Australia it's completely unlocked. Yo... moreI never used Google Voice when I was under android.... never felt a need to use it..

anyways, most of the things I used on android(app wise) was just security apps that keep my phone safe in case of it being lost or something.

that or trying to optimize the speed of the phone (hence rooting the phone to overclock its processor to its full potential) other than that, I did find some apps amusing, but quickly deleted off the phone.

If you want the iPhone, Fine... No one's going to stop you from getting it, but don't tell me that its the BEST PHONE just because you see an apple logo on it.

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2010I think that you have already fall in love with nokia, but ... moreWhat my old N82 which now gathers dust in a drawer?

I've owned Nokia's back to the original 6110 (not the navigator), my Ericsson GH688 was better except some girl borrowed it and lost it in England. 7110, 8210, 8250, 7650 are some of the other Nokia's I've owned they are nothing special a bit overpriced for what they did.

The iPhone is far better to use day to day than the N82 ever was.

Sharing files by Bluetooth is lame as I used to do it on my old Nokia it would take forever to transfer a 300MB movie.

I think people who use iPhones are often brainwashed into thinking they have alot more freedom than they actually do.

I'd never get an iPhone#, next handset for me is Android, love how open they are :D

Nor is it revolutionary. It's another phone with features. Just like my n900, and just like the n1. Each phone serves a different purpose for people. iPhone is just an easy way out for most people, letting apple control their lives and what they can do. android is a new and growing market, and from these charts, android has a lot of potential to overthrow apple since they have a variety of phones for a variety of carriers, something apple lacks in at the moment (yes they have unlocked iPhones now, but can only use AT&T 3G?)

I work on spreadsheets and word docs with quick office.

I respond to Facebook notifications that pop up on my screen.

I play the games that link to Facebook and compete against my friends.

I use the weather radar, traffic camera and police scanner Apps while driving so I know what conditions will be like.

I have first aid apps in case anything happens.

I have push email (Gmail as exchange) and synced calendars contacts and notes, my wife can sync calendar events so I know when to pick up milk or bread without costing a cent.

I have photo and video editing Apps with professional level filters so I can create interesting photo's and share them via Facebook, Twitter, Photobucket, Flickr, MobileMe, email & MMS.

I have MobileMe so I can lock, send a message or wipe my iPhone remotely and see where it is if I lose it.

I have cinema guides, TV guides, restaurant guides and an App that shows which restaurants have been fined by the health department (it's handy to know if some dump has cockroaches BEFORE eating their).

I've barely scratched the surface of the thousands upon thousands of Apps and how you can choose them to make YOUR life easier by tapping an icon on a screen.

it's funny.... how apps are the new thing in cell phones. anyways, to all the app users out there, on average about how many of those apps do you use on a regular basis? oh really? you use the zippo lighter app to light that cigarette? oh that gun app you brought to the gun range and got some bullseyes really? lol..

as for the android market, i can say that the only difference between that and the apple appstore is the lack of better game which will probably change this year since multitouch is being spreaded around

as for apple, its always going to reign supreme. NO MATTER WHAT. why? because of people who jumped bandwagon because they see apple is better. which it isnt. it's just different from the norm they were used too. no company is better than the other, each has its pro's and cons.

for me right now, i'm a nokia fanboy who used to be an android fanboy who came from a sony ericsson phones. time changes and people do to.
