26 March, 2010
Time for another survey - this one is app store centered. It reveals some unsurprising things (the Apple App Store is on top) and surprising ones - carrier app stores are still going strong, despite everyone and...

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2010I can't believe that people are satisfied with Apple.Check the customer satisfaction surveys, Apple is one of the highest ranked companies there is and it's been that way for years.

They make top quality products and put user interaction at the top of their list of objectives.

        [deleted post]So if someone says:-

        "iPhone Apps are for kids"

Then someone shows military Apps made for the iPhone.

Is not that first post either:-

        a) wrong

        or

        b) saying that military Apps are for kids.

Basic logic, the N-sheep don't understand.

why is every nokia fanboy is always mad at apple? they always say that nokia is better and the best..i cant blame them if they cant afford to buy iphone or even if they have they dont know how to use it without limitations..i am a former nokia user, but nokia phones always kept me down..customer service is bad, they dont always release a firmware that will support old models, most of the phones would be left behind after a couple of months due to the releases of more models, same old lame os,nothing has changed..and most of the spare parts of the phone are not that good..compared to apple that uses high quality materials, and only apple is the company that keeps supporting the phone that they released 2 years ago prodiving more useful apps and upgrades..

In 2008, apple approved a useless $1000-app called I am Rich.

But Apple couldn't pull it down before curious aristocrats --EIGHT of them -- had purchased it. SIX people from the United States, one from Germany and one from France dropped a grand for the gem in the first 24 hours it was available, Heinrich said. That's $5,600 in revenue for Heinrich and $2,400for Apple, which collects 30% of each sale for "store upkeep."

paging those 8 people. Are you here? Ü

Good to see Android Market catching up to the Apple App Store.

As for Ovi. Nokia and Symbian dropped the ball on that one.

[deleted post]Wohoo! So Appstore has a few grown weird military apps that nobod regular has any use for. I'm surprosed Apple took so long, those military services has been available for Nokia phones since 2002.

You Apple guys get excited over wierd corny stuff and call it inovation. Nokia i the leader of mobile innovation.

Apple made a nice touccscreen, so? That is not inoovation, how does that help people?

Nokia developed GSM, the developed the first Internationak Network NMT, A Nokia phone made worlds first GSM call, Nokia GSM Phones where first in the world to make sattelite calls, Nokia invented WAP browsing and where the first to go on to internet with a handheld device, Nokia launched the first 3G phone in 2002 and have hundred of other important patents that made the Mobiles Phones what they are today, who the hell is Apple?

You call a few Army apps and good touchscreen innovation?

That's not inoovation, that's called improvement..

This is patented innovation.. You will see in 2011 what Nokia brings to the touch industry...

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2010Apple focuses more on quality. Nokia is more open alright,... moreI wouldn't actually call barely functional half breed 1 dollar apps quality.

My younger sister has a Iphone 3G second gen and i have seen the amount of nonsense Appstore has.

Most of them have fancy names and fancy description but barely work, or most of the time not at all

I admit some games on Iphone are really good, but most of the apps are just pure rip-offs made by 9 year olds for 9 year olds with to much time.

As we say, "no engine under the nice hood" or "to much talk, no action".

Nokia is more open alright, but the quality of files you put in your device is usually of very low quality. Well what would you expect when you download free stuff from who knows where. That is why the iphone is more of a luxury device for rich users, while Nokia is for the masses who cannot afford to buy apps, lol.

I saw this chart were Android was increasing by 169% per quarter!! Holy ****! By end of 2010 i will surprised if Android Market has not left Appstore to choke in the dust.

I live in America and nobody here knows about the quality of Nokia. Ovi wouldnt have much on that chart because this is the US and not the rest of the world. My friend and I are the only people I know with a Nokia phone lol and we have N900's so we dont even use the Ovi store much anyways.

Interesting would be to see a comparison between this survey and previous and future ones in order to see the market developments, thats real statistics. So what were the previous results?
That will help users like us to deside which phone to buy next!
