Looks kind of thick! I hope it is not a slider type phone. If it is; it not competition for the touchscreen iPhone.

Well N95 is among the best phones ever made.
Been using the N900 pre-production sample and the retail version, and they both beat ANYTHING on the market at this point.
It´s a totally awesome phone/ mini computer, but it´s still VERY immature as a product and potential buyers should be aware that it´s pretty far from android/iphone like and mre computer like.
But so far it damn sure the best phone I ever used till now.
Can´t wait till Meego OS is released.
But I´m also pretty intersted to get my hands on the N8 to try it out.

Is the phone in the picture supposed to be the real thing? Because this one isn't nearly the same phone that leaked out on million other pages as N8-00 (that thing looked like a half-product to me and quite hidious with that cradle for battery at the bottom or something). Bottom line if it had the build quality of the N95 or N900 for that matter, it would ROCK!

This phone sounds pretty amazing... But I'm posting this comment from my N95 8gb...
I've yet to find a nokia which can replace my N95.
What I NEED in my replacement would be:
8mpx camera - I take loads of photos from my phone, purely because of convenience.
800MHz Arm Cortex - I do a lot of internet browsing and my phone is my primary internet device. It needs to be snappy enough to handle Flash, which I use in one way or another for about 80% of my browsing...
Love the touch screen idea, because of the large screen, but I really need hardware keys. I do way to much typing on my phone to live without a T9 or QWERTY hardware keyboard.
Thats not asking alot. A great messaging phone, which is fast enough to snappily browse with Opera 10 or Skyfire, and has a good camera.
Oh, and I has to be Symbian based, since it is by far the most advanced smartphone OS CURRENTLY available.

5MP in a cellphone is fine 720 video quality its good but this is too much its more a camera than a phone
a person that buys something like this at the end its going to say i need a camera a real one
its a cellphone come on i need a little of everything in it

Hardware is your scarcely relevant in today. Smartphones already do more than most people can or want them to do. What matters now is the ease of use and price. How will a 12 megapixel camera help that?
