If this is be true........ 360 x 640 3.5"
Camera Without XENON flash
What is the purpose of buying:?
Money for Nokia - Nothing to customers.................
This is - same phone such as the N97.................
I hope that this will not be true model.........
otherwise Nokia will lose a few New percent of Market

Yes ok higher resolution is always more fun to have but VGA is not low end res, it may seem like it since phones like the X10 have 480 x 854 but actually looking at the screen at upto about 3.5 inches it looks stunning enough with VGA
4 inches and above yes, higher res works better but on a 3.5 even 3.7 having insane resolutions is overkill and will add to the cost of the phone.
Nokia are not dumb, they must have thought this through

Great looking phone but I'd rather hear about the C6 some more, since C stands for cheap. This phone is amazing but'll be way too overpriced.

i think all people here are just wasting one anothers time. nobody admits to the fact that nokia is a revolutionary company. if they want they can be ahead in technology whenever they want [thus the hdmi]. they've been there and done that for years! seeing that apple could care less about camera resolutions they too have realized that releasing advanced camera phones first, is useless and so now they've started to take their time and build quality items versus being the first to remove a higher specs phone. i still think nokia is the best cell phone company out because of their quality, functionality and durable designs. only their softwares on touchscreens are not upto the mark that their obviously working [n8 the first to run their new software]. if they merged with windows mobile, android or apple software it would be a wrap! no phone company would even think of being competition to them. to all you noobs who feel that nokia is not the best, you're too naive to acknowledge the reality

It's always fun when news about nokia is posted and everyone just starts commenting about random irrelevant stuff. I just have fun seeing where eventually the discussion ends up.

Symbian just went open source so it's a mistake calling it Nokia's proprietary OS

[deleted post]And you're mistaken, my E71 was built in Finland and most of its internal components are made in semiconductor foundries that are not located in China. the best Nokia phones aren't built in the land of the cheap labor that is China.

[deleted post]You're very correct, they talk about a phone that isn't even official, about which no specs have been announced and they complain like children whose toy isn't good enough even before they get it.

Keith, 29 Mar 2010Ahh but they do. People buy phones that they can do lots o... morethey do now, but that is not the main factor. Few thousand should be fine. With 150,000 application, do you really look at it one by one???

Even 12 megapixel camera fones are passé. Come up with 20 megapixel camera now + both Xenon & LED Flash. Can Nokia do it? Impossible is nothing.

Another ugly phone from Nokia! Just jacking up the specs is not going to help the company in the long run.

Sh, 29 Mar 2010If nokia wants me to get back to purchasing their phones th... moreNokia smartphones are very user friendly and easy to navigate. I have used smatphones with different OS's before. I find that nokia smartphones are easy to navigate, and they are built for an ALL-AROUNd use.
Nokia releases new firmware updates every year or less than a year to fix bugs on the software.
My 5800 has the firmware v40. The phone is fast now and has kinetic scrolling similar to the iphone. My n95 has firmware v31. For a two year old smartphone it still rocks!!!!
Other web browser apps such as opera mobile 10 or opera mini that has a copy and paste feature can be downloaded for free since nokia hasn't implement the copy and paste feature on the web yet.
