I have owned a nokia and a samsung...and I am Frankly so BORED of the symbian and the samsung OS (the one in corby..) these OS's SUCK...are cannot not be customized at ALL. I think brew on the other hand is good. especially with sense UI it looks awesome. and it will be a change from nokia and samsung. Don gt me wrong i love samsung. but nit their OS. I love the i5700 and i7500 and the newer BADA OS model. and would kill for an s9000.

You're either high,drunk or confused....OK I can deal with asking for a 3" screen that's reasonable enough but 8mp and 720p vid cam?Are you sure we're talking about the same phone here?Also to be frank when people are looking for decent cam functions they won't look at anything from HTC save from SE and Nokia.
This phone are about lower price points and cost of entry.You're missing the memo here.So the best models for comparative argument are still Samsung's Corby and Lindy.

I think you dont know that Nokia 5233, Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5500 are selling like hotcakes in India.
And Nokia 5233 is bestseller touch phone in India...
Only few people are going for Samsung, many ppl are buying these Nokias...

The low-end touchscreen phone market in India has completely been taken over by Samsung and to some extent LG and Nokia. HTC is going to have a hard time attracting customers with the Smart.

BREW is the most locked mobile OS for the end user, more than apple ! Users will be locked to airtel app store.
Airtel, qualcomm and htc will be laughing all way to the bank.
Its a dumbphone worse than any comparable nokia, sony phone.
No java or other apps without the carrier allowing it through the app store.
Even free apps like opera mini or gmail java apps may not run.
End users beware of the deficiencies of the BREW platform and avoid it.
