That's the problem - you buy a phone with Amoled, your jaw drops, then you get used to it, and since then all you wish is that you could still look at otherwise interesting phones and consider getting them, but they have LCDs.
I think it's the main problem of people who bought a Galaxy series phone and would like to try something different. I know I'm in such shoes - I buy the Galaxy phones really just for that single thing. It's like moving from modern tech to 20 year old washed out tech.

Amoled entered the game way above LCDs and there was.only.a couple year period where LCDs pulled ahead with a few advantages.
The Samsung Omnia HD in the beggining of 2009 blew every other screen on a phone away. With its bright vibrant Amoled and deep blacks. Pretty sure it was the first full fledged full scale Amoled in a phone...and of course first 720p capable device.

The LCDs then were weak, faded, low sunlight readability, bad angled displays.
In those next couple years LCD got good and had some advantages.
Then the Amoleds just dwarfed the rest

Amoled screens are undisputable when it comes to color, sharpness and general perfomance. I only buy samsung mostly because of the display. Had a phone with an LCD display but its light years behind Super Amoled comparatively.

Burn-in has never been a problem for me even on older samoled screens, even while abusing them and keeping the same screen on for over 6 hours sometimes (I assume it's because of the brightness being low though).

Sunlight legibility is higher on the note 5 and other samoled screens than normal amoled and lcd, and before you try to refute that please remember that gsmarena have a test for it. Samsung does better on sunlight legibility than ALL phones except the pureview. The whites on the note 5 are also whiter than the iPhone, but not as bright.

Samoled doesn't suffer from the issues of normal amoled.

Anyway,LCD screens are easier to read on the sun and the white color is much better than on the AMOLED displays. Also, "burned in" effect is still there. It`s not that strong as it was but I can see it on my Note 4 after only 6 months of use...
