Windows 10 Mobile update for older Lumias not coming this year after all

Microsoft is now saying that the new software will roll out in early 2016, and not starting this month as previously stated.

My Husband and I both use Lumia Phones (His Nokia Lumia 735 and Mine is Microsoft Lumia 640).

Both of us have contracts ending in March 2016 when we will be leaving Vodafone a horrible mobile phone company to go back to 3 UK and most likely back to Android.

That's not to say that Windows 8.1 Mobile OS has not got its plus points mainly in personalization (personal ringtones and personal text tones for individual users is great as being able to block callers).

Delays in Windows 10 Update arriving late will have a damaging effect on the sale of Windows phones and keeping users.

    Hang on, this isn't news to me? Wasn't it obvious it wasn't coming out this December? I'm in the windows insider programme, on a Nokia Lumia 925, and even if Windows 10 came out in Decemeber, I'd be more annoyed as it's still full of minor bugs and needs further software optimisation

      At times like these Im glad that I actually put away my lumia and got an s6.

          stuff like this, makes me wonder, should i really go for WP from Android? is Microsoft trustworthy? or they're just gonna ef WP up and kill it after a year or two. since all Microsoft have done so far is canceling/delaying promised services & features .

            I'm waiting on the 1520's sucessor.

              If you really want the Windows 10 Mobile update, there's the Windows Insider Program. Build 10586.29 was really great, and I'm currently installing Build 10586.36.
