Excuse me, all those technology has already beens implemented on many other phones an it is apple that is copying it. The physical design for the Iphone HD has already been shown to be exactly like (Except a little taller) the Iphone 3GS. It will probably also have a "copied" secondary camera. There is nothing new.
Another thing, being cheap is not a bad thing. A very large majority of the world is poor and thus what Nokia provides at such a low cost is a blessing.

POOR iphone users I really feel pity for you. Multitasking!! are you kidding me, this feature is a must in all smartphones since more than five years ago. And now its a new feature in the icrap. Moreover, it will be available in summer. You are so pathetic, For real.

BTW the best multitasking is in palm pre NO ONE can reach to that level and NO ONE can deny that. nuff said

And when the next gen iphone comes out, I'm sure you will hate it even more, because you probably again won't be able to afford it and will again post comments against it so you could release your bitterness and anger, lol.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2010Well I am not one of those iphone users who would go to Nok... moreAS i have said before, what you gave as iphone advantages are opinions and lies, no real features.
-"Most expensive phones are locked under contract." -Any Nokia Symbian phone can be brought unlocked contract free for much cheaper than an unlocked Iphone.

-"You Nokia may have better external speakers, but realistically, music reproduction using headphones is what's more important on phones" -Read some reviews, the Nokia 5800 produces headphone music quality that matches the Ipod(which I have to add is better than the Iphone).

          - "The iphone through itunes offers high quality videos"- Yes but thats your only option, whereas Nokia can play videos from anywhere, and any quality in Widescreen. Most Movies from Internet are in Divx format and you need to convert them to play on the Iphone. You can also convert and play movies form DVDs easily with a Nokia.

          - "The iphone's walled approach on apps, gives users more protection and better customer support from Apple." -Whats the worst that can happen to your phone from an unsafe app. A hard reset will fix everything. (Sorry I forgot, Nokias don't burst into flames when they are too hot, unlike Iphones). Nokia's security is good enough to protect you personal info so you don't have to worry about that and their customer support is not bad at all.

-"Iphone's implementation of multitasking is more efficient and effective"- Having lower Ram and Processoer speeds, Symbain's do true multitasking with no lagging (as long as the firmware is up to date) at all and they still have a longer battery life than an Iphone.

-"Iphone's camera is decent and adequate for its purpose. But it will just get better." -Thats just your opinion, much cheaper Nokias have better cameras and video (plus Flash). Even the 3.2 MP camera of a 5800 is batter than that of the Iphone plus it has a flash.

          - Do you know why apple does not allow Flash on web and Java on the phone, its not remain integrate or fast. Its because otherwise you can play games and run apps in Java and Flash which will bring down their app store sales, which is currently you only option for apps and games.

Apple is late with the multitasking and in my opinion they dindn't catch up so far. It's multitasking dosn't even come close to Web OS or Android multitasking. The hardware is medicore too. If the next gen. iPhone will not birn Super AMOLED display and 5MP camera they will loose their advantage. Android has already closed the gap...

May I just remind you, that even before multitasking was introduced on phones, Apple already implemented it in their computers. So don't make it seem like Apple does not know this technology. They just want it to work better than the rest, just like what they did with copy and paste, zooming, app store, touchscreen, web browsing, gaming, social network, etc.

Come on people. Give credit where its due. Apple pushed all the others to up their ante. Without the iphone, all of us would be stuck with laggy, sluggish devices with small screens and low quality plastic materials.

But unlike you, I am not impractical to open and run games applications in the background when I cannot play games and post a comment at the same time, can you? The current iphone lets you go back to your game app and continue where you left off. That approach is even better with iphone 4.0 where it's quicker to go back to your game.

So iPhone users waited 3 years to get wallpapers ? :) This shows the speed at which people develop new things at Apple...this is really a snail's pace. Android new features come so fast that iPhone 4.0 will be obsolete at launch (in fact, it already is !). Giving up my iPhone 3GS for a Nexus One was one of the best thing I could do. I really wished Apple would bring something interesting to iPhone 4.0, but it didn't...

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2010Every time an Article appears about Symbian or Nokia, these... moreWell I am not one of those iphone users who would go to Nokia articles and make nasty comments. And based on what I've read, Nokia users most of the time start the argument by mentioning the iphone. Iphone users would just then reply in defense. Wow, your Nokia device does not lag or crash. That's amazing. Well not all of us have the same experience as you with our Nokia devices before we switched to the iphone. As for the advantages that you have brought up. Here's my response to them.

Most expensive phones are locked under contract. The dual sim will not really work well with those phones unless you tamper with it and lose your warranty.

You Nokia may have better external speakers, but realistically, music reproduction using headphones is what's more important on phones, and the iphone has the best music reproduction.

The iphone through itunes offers high quality videos and has a powerful graphics chip. Not having divx support is not a big loss.

The next iphone will have better resolution, and current resolution on the iphone is good as well.

The iphone's walled approach on apps, gives users more protection and better customer support from Apple.

Iphone's implementation of multitasking is more efficient and effective. Cutting down on battery consumption and delivering uncompromising performance.

Iphone's camera is decent and adequate for its purpose. But it will just get better.

Watch the keynote and learn just how much better Apple implements and integrates all services into the iphone.

this is mainly due to user experience. i find the iphone more fun and easy to use. fore instance web browsing is easier on the iphone.

Let's not forget that their computers have been doing multitasking even before any smartphone maker released their first multitasking phone, so it's not like Apple doesn't know how it should be implemented. But you see, a phone is not as big as a computer's hardware, and hardware does play a major role in a phone's performance. If Apple didn't care about its UI, they could've included this multitasking in their first iphone. But then they didn't want the iphone to lose its slim waistline, but now with improved hardware technology, they can be able to add more features and keep the iphone's size slim.

HTML5 is gaining more popularity sooner than you think. Thanks to Apple. I know what multitasking is, and the iphone does have it in their current model, and they even improved it in 4.0. Apple took the time to implement multitasking that is conscious of battery life and performance. Does your current phone consider those two important factors?
