I like these little phones. Sharp has been in the phone for a long time, and pretty much pioneered alot of the things that are standard on phones today such as the camera for instance, so I've got no issues with these things being developed by them. I was kind of hoping for the full on Windows 7 Mobile, thing like was announced but I guess that has a little ways to go. I'm not a real big social newtworking person, at least not to the scale at which these things were designed, but I like the lil things.

jk, 12 Apr 2010I think the design of the phones don't match the somewhat f... moreIf a design looked "futuristic" in everyone's eyes, it would no longer be futuristic. It would be the now.

Like the Palm Pre, these phones may not be everyone's taste...yet.

Just like fashion or car shows, the first impression of the new "future" models is perhaps less exciting than we think. We need to grow into the design... in a few years time.

When you accept their design and start seeing similar devices everywhere else, that's when they become old and outdated.

Bricked, 13 Apr 2010Quite right. The Sharp GX30 was an awesome phone for it... moreHell yeah!

I owned the GX20 and GX30 and let me tell you, they were simply outstanding in terms of quality.

Not a big fan of the firmware, but for what it was, it was alright.

903SH was again revolutionary in what a mobile could offer. And yes, I owned one of them too!

And now... well, the WX-T923 has been with me for nearly a year and people will ALWAYS take a moment to admire it's swivel screen and features.

                            SHARP are a brilliant company!

Oh people - put 1 and 1 together already. Please!

What have SHARP, Vodafone and Verizon in common?

SHARP is Japans largest producer of mobile handsets.
Vodafone is the worlds largest mobile network.
Vodafone has always had exclusive access to SHARP's products (T-Mobile and Telstra had a go at some other projects)

Vodafone owns 45% of Verizon! And the penny dropped...

What's so good about this deal? Vodafone will no longer cripple the firmware of these devices because Microsoft now has a say about that.

                              WIN & WIN!

SHARP will sell their previously forcasted 4 million units in Europe and the US (probably way more), Microsoft will gain marketshare in the OS division.
Vodafone and Verizon will compete with Apple via exclusiveness of each others products.

                              It's a competition and it's on!

These are going to be some excellent devices on an even better network.

Cause there is one truth, you can make a windows phone do anything. Use DOS, use win 95/98, or like my friends, port Android 2.1(from nexus 1) into diamond!

MS, Welcome to the mobile world. The mobile market will be crowded by these 2. And it's good for us as a user. Becoz, wherever there is a thight competition, there is more new ideas and breakthrough. And we as the consumer are the winner after all. Btw, I like Kin One design. I wonder why there's no Microsoft logo on its body.
