--> true but remember in america they prefer large internal storage. look at the success of iphone

"Only 35 buttons on qwerty? FAILED!"
--> y? blackberry uses 35 buttons and its not bad. (not gr8 either)

      "Only Vodafone in Europe? FAILED!"
      --> yes major fail

      ":o Made by Sharp? FAILED!"
--> wtf r u talking about? thats epic win. in case u dont know sharp was the first company to put cameras on phones and currently they make some of the best screens for phones. look at Sharp AQUOS 941SH its the only phone with such big resolution: 480x1024 and in 4" thats a lot better than SE x10 (4" w/ 480x854), Toshiba tg01 (4.1" w/ 480x800)...

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2010and also the whole 3 button law is just a "formal"... more"and also the whole 3 button law is just a "formal" thing that MS has done as its been proved in the past that uniformity has better success

in other words because the iphone has 1 button in all models, MS now has 3 button in all and it will not make any exceptions not even for the HD2"
--> some microsoft phones had 2 buttons and a dpad b4 iphone. such as imate pda2, htc advantage, htc touch... not necessarily copying apple.

"Just sad how every mobile company has to copy the iphone, its lock screen"
--> neonode had slide to unlock b4 iphone. in fact it was the first touchscreen phone maker which had a touchscreen that cud recognize gestures such as flick finger to scroll thru menus.

"its bar on top (even though that was taken from WinMo)"
--> if winmo and other OSes had it b4 iphone, how r ppl copying iphone? this is what usually happens:
-other phonemakers hv had a feature for several years
-apple comes along and copies that feature
-they present the same feature with words like revolutionary
-apple fanboys buy apple devices and comment on how innovative apple is
-other companies continue to produce devices with the features they had years before iphone
-apple fanboys complain that other companies are copying apple

        "its icons, its animations"
--> symbian phones from SE had similar icons and animations b4 iphone. such as wen u select a song/album, the transition slides to show u the music player or the list of songs. altho i admit apple was the 1st to use that swivel animation for screen rotation.

"i hate apple but its sad that companies with experience got out smarted by the newest member of smart platforms"
list of things iphone has copied or other phones hv had before it:
        -capacitive touchscreen: lg
        -gestures on touchscreen: neonode
        -slide to unlock: neonode
        -on screen keyboard: palm
        -msging: palm
-the way iphone makes calls (gsm/lan connectivity): nokia
-ambient light sensor for display brightness: palm
-touch screen for focus of camera: htc
-accelerometer on a phone: htc (but htc used it for scrolling not autorotate)
-appstore: multiple OSes had online stores with software for phones b4 iphone. they didnt hv an app on the phone to go to that site, but if u wanted more games there was a get more games option usually at the bottom of the games list for phones using symbian and if u selected this, it wud direct u to the site to download games. also hackers had an appstore before apple.

the only thing i can think of that apple was the first to introduce on the iphone was multitouch. however, multitouch was not invented by apple and microsoft was working with multitouch enabled devices b4 apple. see the microsoft surface. it had the same pinch to zoom and other multitouch features currently found in iphone. but congratz to apple for using it on a phone.

any other features u think iphone was the first to come up with?

Like it or not,MS needs Kin to fill in the lower end segments of their mobile strategy.Whether if this is a good idea or not remains to be seen, even if it's slightly awkward and on a customized Silverlight based OS.Anyone else here remember the WP7 base hw specs? That's right.Ain't gonna be cheap for those. So now you know.

Another Flanker product. They are throwing this on us in order to stop people from going to Android. People will buy android this year cause expected release of windows phone 7 will be holidays.

Till then, Microsoft has created a high priced product for people to awe. But, guess what, we are not stupid! Why waste money here?

Microsoft, don't dare create an illusion until you have something really good to offer(like win phone 7), till then, do some RnD so this time your I.E doesn't crashes.

Microsoft bought Danger, the company that provided all the web based functions of the sidekick hiptops and Sharp continues to make the hardware.
