An... moreWell i dont know is flashing marshmallow on your phone im not sure, i think that flashing doesnt have nothing with rooting your phone it's not root for using cm mode or some costume software is official software....

From South Africa , using the D855 version of the LG G3. Anyway I can install the Marshmallow update on this phone WITHOUT needing root? Doesn't look like South Africa will get the OTA update anytime soon.

I also did the upgrade to Android 6 (MM) manually following the steps given here. Yes it was a risk but fortunatly the upgrade was trustworthy. Now my mind is free from this issue. Thanks guys

what about the video player in marshmallow ??
did they updated the codecs that work in the original videoplayer ??
is the playback speed still there ??have they raised it to 3.0 ??

They even added slow-mo recording to camera, which was never mentioned in reviews, or at least I did not see it :) All apps were updated and everything saved on the phone. Again, I was using unlocked / unbranded version LG G3 32G D855 lollypop V21a-EURXX.
I took a risk and it paid off. However, I do not have excuse to buy LG G4 anymore :)

Manually updated LG G3 33g unbranded D855 V21a-EURXX to Marshmallow 6.0.
Everything works like a charm!
Here is the link with instructions and software:

At step 4 from that instructions link, I have chosen "Normal Flash" instead of "CSE Flash option" and saved all my data and aps, but this is possible only if you are upgrading over the previous LG stock ROM. Everything is working OK. All apps OK. Thank you from Sarajevo, BOSNIA :).

I bought my G3 recently on the back of the 'promised' MM upgrade, so very disappointed.
I contacted LG in the UK and they said to contact the service provider. I told them it was an unlocked version and was then told to contact Google!
It looks like they don't know their a**e from their elbow.

lgg3333, 18 Mar 2016can you elaborate? the website is confusingHi, I contacted Lg through the phone customers service and they told me that they didn't know anything about the update. Weirdly because they already have MM on Vodafone in the Netherlands.
