I have just read it's meant to be published on 29th of march. If it takes that long, there is a reason for that, probably a small bug was to be fixed. personally me I don't want to be a beta tester. that's why I'd rather wait as well.

Earlier this week , we learned Telus had delayed informing the LG G3 to marshmallow for an unknown period of time. Fortunately , the G3 is now planned to be upgraded by the end of March .
According to the most recent version of Telus software update program , " the G3 will receive the Android 6.0 on March 29 .

Just contacted the european LG-Support: (The original message was in German, so I translated it for you)

                        My Question:

                        "Good day,

I am a proud owner of an LG G3 unbranded smartphone and I am already waiting for the Android 6.0 Update for a long time. I have just learned that the Vodafone version of the LG G3s has already received the update. Hence my question: When will the unbraneded version of LG G3s will get Android 6.0?

                        Thank you for your reply"

                        The answer I got:

"Thanks for your contact with the customer service of LG Electronics for Austria and Switzerland.

Please note that the updates are always assigned to the IMEI number, which may take some time until you can install it."

It´s not an exact answer but indirectly it says that the Update will be avaible soon, so
Thank you LG and keep waiting ;)

I've updated manually using the previously described method (and official 6.0 update) and it is flawless.
Nothing is lost, the update itself lasted less than 10 minutes but the optimization of the apps lasted around 20 minutes or so.
My software version is V30b-EUR-XX now.
I think that the risk this way is the same as with OTA update (there is always a small chance of something going wrong) if you do it well...

It's very unlikely that something happens but it is possible. The G3 is still 300€ worth so be sure to not break it. Just wait for the Update and everything will be fine

There is no official information but the update should be released this month. (This is not official information, but Vodafone already got the Update so we should get it soon too)
