well I'm glad that SE gave you a good slap in the face then hehe. I bet you were one of those guys that kept repeating that SE will die and not survive a moment and yet SE did it! ok.... it is a profitable quartr for them. But they can't survive in the market. Because samsung and Lg are silently working on some of the best high end devices.ss and lg are relivtely behind in smartphone sector. but the are working hard . just look at lg Panther (window 7) phone and now P750 (on today news at gsmarena). WHAT WILL BE THE FUTURE OF SONY..........LOL.
SAMSUND WITH ITS SUPER AMOLED SCREENS AND LG WITH ITS EXTRAORDINORY DESIGNS ARE THE BEST.

I predicted ... moreWhat you said is true no doubt about it and you make a good point here. But when it comes to Nokia they have the biggest share + biggest profit! So this is something really scary and crazy!
And although I'm not a Nokia fan but people should realize how strong and powerful this company is because it owns both the market share and the highest profits!

hi.. congrats sony ericsson.. i am very happy for you.. i want to buy the x10 but i have no money right now hehe.. but anyways i love sony ericsson and i am glad they made a profit finally.. and just remember give us good phones at good prices and all sony ericsson fans will be there to buy it coz we are the most loyal of all.. i have respect for every company but love for only sony ericsson..:)

I predicted ALL of this half a year ago.
Lower market share, lower selling number but profit!
This was my reply to a guy that said he is concerned that SE could bleed to death: (PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PREDICTION)
"Well here's what i think..almost certainly, they won't bleed to death. I think that the odds are just the opposite. It's important to see that SE will never reach the previous market share levels. I even think that their shear selling numbers are gonna drop even more. But that is not they are after any more. They are reducing and restructuring their selves and cutting the portfolio drastically, towards quality and efficiency. I mean, they're gonna release just 8-10 high and mid range products next year. Expect lower sale figures and more efficient business, towards profitability. They are learning from apple which is selling like25 million phones a year and still makes a huge profit from iphone"
To add to that, all of you market share cry babies, look at HTC..they sell even less than both SE and apple and still enjoying strong, stable profits.
Hell, LG sells ten times more phones than HTC and have much lower profit.
Market share doesn't mean a thing for sucess.

Sony Ericsson have still got along time for full recovery,there Top Mobiles want better Speakers on them,as it seems odd a top electrical retailer like Sony putting such weak speakers on mobiles,still alot as got to change in the Fascias used on there mobiles as well,as you pay for mobile an expect to keep it value if you look after it,but if the paint peels off an its not your fault Sony Ericsson do not seem to think like that,just look at the C902 a such good mobile let down with such a disgusting fascia from Sony Ericsson an very hard to change as well,so thats what Sony Ericsson better realise or people will look elsewere again

Guys I just want you to keep in mind that since SE is gaining profit, this means we will have more high end phones in the future! More 12 mp cameras! More and better HD recording handsets! More X10's but maybe with a 1.5 Ghz and a bigger ram and better battery! This is really very good news for SE lovers, so we should be happy and enjoy the moments now ;)
