With a Snapdragon 210 and a 2,000mAh battery is it really an upgrade over the Lumia 640?

    DEAR MICROSOFT.
why the F would you put metal on a low budget phone and a plastic on a flagship?!
i like microsoft personally but i must admit, spec wise you should fired the person who make decision on it and also the design material, you should fired him too but i like the design on lumia 950 XL only.

    WINDOWS
the person who create or in charge with this platform is either doest use lumia's phone or just anti social. it is bad as hell, apps crash all the time. some part of the setting never works mostly the backup your phone. NEVER WORKS ! huhh huhh huhh *holdonimtired.
okay. APPS, oh my god the apps, horrible. the person who buys windows phone will regret in just 3 seconds.

I've been a lover of Lumia phones since Lumia 800. I wish they'd channel more money into making premium-feeling flagships, than churning out different iterations of the same mid-range/lowmid-range phones...

Still no open source apps I can install with WP10.
There's lot of awesome open source apps on github but most target Android, none WP10.

In case any of the person from microsoft is reading this...

Sir/Mam, I only want to ask u that are u really expecting this phone with such great and almighty sd210 to make any impact in budget market? Is it an upgrade over sd400?
I was planning to buy a lumia and was looking forward to ces but u disappointed me.
I am "soon will be WAS" a fan of microsoft and the product like these can piss any person as u should take budget segment more seriously otherwise your remaining 1% market share will also become extinct..

Microsoft Lumia 650 with such an entry level specs can't succeed in today's smartphone markets. Microsoft is getting it totally wrong. We need high specs phone in reasonable price. In a country like India, you have to compete with One Plus, Micromax and Samsung. Low budget high specs smartphone. You just can't ignore either of them

                      GUYS!!!!
first of all you have to wait to see if these specs will be true or something else is gonna happen! second, yoy should wait to see the price! maybe the price range is comparable to only affordable phones in market!
third, i'm using Lumia 535 Dual for about a year, and i NEVER had a single problem with it! the specs are so much similar! i'm really happy with it because i only use it for work and some light entertainment moments!
if you want a flagship level specs phone, then go for Lumia 950 or 950 XL. dont waste your time here!

Yeah the specs are pretty lame.
If the price is reasonable to match the hardware it is not problem.

But what Apple does is a total rip off. Charging higher price for old hardware.

Has anyone heard about a smartphone with Snapdragon 100 series processor ?
If not wait for microsoft to release one , probably in 2017.

Moreover a handful of windows mobile fans will go gaga over how windows 11 OS will be "so much efficient" that hardware does not need an updragade .

Hats off to both windows mobile and their fans. This is called real love, as love is always blind.

WP users wont mind using new Lumia's even if the specs are crap becuase WP OS doesn't need the best internals to run smoothly; but, Android users that want to jump ship to WP wont even bother because Android demands the best internals to run smoothly; and they have that mentality.
Ive used enough WPs with low specs and it runs smoothly.
The only Androids I've used that run smoothly (for a long period of time) require 3+GB of RAM & an Octacore CPU.
I personally prefer WP since it's smooth like iOS and customizable (to a comfortable extent) like Android.

this isnt even an upgrade over the 550 let alone the 640. Why the hell did the two series cross, oh a metal frame, nevermind. /s

510 lacked flash 520 too 530 became wprse with chipset here 620 was good at look and features 640 made it right but now 650 lacks the good chip Microsoft is surely going to get out of lumia business looks

I think that MS is having really bad experts in their team or this is a just a January joke. Where is the device roadmap? Please highlight to me where the user feedback is reflected in this design? EPIC-FAIL!!!!

Happened with the 550 vs 535 but no one realized...
They clearly think that having a phone that is snappy enough and competitively priced is more important than specs.

As long as they it retails for less than the 640 it should be OK, the 640 and 640xl aren't going anywhere... Still it's quite disappointing having a new phone to be inferior...
