Is there any one who can catch 24Mpbs speed with Btw4.0. I doubt that it is not possible and manufacturers just to fill specification list. In my Galaxy Note 2 device 1mbps is the max speed. Please tell me how can I improve the speed to 24mbps.
Thx.in.advance

Will the new Bluetooth 4.0 work with this years 2.1 + EDR so they will not become worthless?
Will the Bluetooth 4.0 allow video streaming?

what i'd like to know is, is it going to be on the new iphone, because at the minute we've only got bluetooth to use with other iphones or ipods, which i find highly annoying & petty of apple.you can't use it with any other phone, which is very annoying.

swaminath, 22 Apr 2010...why bluetooth 4.0, why not YELLOWTOOTH 1. or BLACKTOOTH ... moreThe name "Bluetooth" is from the 10th century Danish King Harald Blatand - or Harold Bluetooth in English. King Blatand was instrumental in uniting warring factions in parts of what is now Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Looks to me like bluetooth has absolutely no competition. Is there no other wireless network-independent technology at all except the-now-obsolete-infrared? A little bit of competition is healthy to everyone.

You people talk about bluetooth 2.0/2.1/3.0/3.5/4.0 and then about low energy consumption. What we really need is Li-Po 2.0 which have double the capacity of todays Li-Po. By the way, with this much speed and range the new version bluetooth brings we can make voice calls/video calls within the range of 60 metres only using bluetooth. Intercom!!

zaeo, 21 Apr 2010Why so fast changing number? Why not make bluetooth 3.1 or... moreYeah, I admit that is seems fast, but at the same time, you don't feel the need to buy a new car every year, just becaue one is realesed. Unless said new car has features that you can't live without. Same with Bluetooth, for what MOST people use it for, Classic Bluetooth is just fine. But in order for tomorrows products to be better, new Bluetooth versions need to be certified and released today. And with Bluetooth still, in technology years, being a relatively new technology, and one that is rapidly growing I might add, there will be times of growth spurts.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2010so by lunch time tomorrow we can expect Bluetooth 5 and aft... moreTechnology moves fast, this is in every area. You can buy a video game that just came out today and when you go home and put it in your console there will most likely be an update.

The Bluetooth SIG and it's members are always looking into ways to make the techonolgy better and braoden the use cases.

I see this as a good thing.

Nader, 21 Apr 2010I agree with the guy who said why not 3.5 ? it's not a dram... moreNot really, the inclusion of Low Energy Technology makes this release a big deal. You can qualify a device with Classic Bluetooth that includes just the High Speed as a 3.1 device, but devices including Low Energy are truely the next era for Bluetooth.
