22 April, 2010
Nokia announced their financial results for the first quarter of the year. The good news is that they've got their revenue and profit higher than last year's and they're pushing 50% more smartphones than before...

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2010Just to recap, Apple sold 8.5 million iPhones in Q1. And ... moreand out of the 107+ million so called "smartphone" handsets, how many of these users are actually "smart" users to download apps and stuff onto their phones, especially the S40 ones?

Nokia is a trend setter fot any other company on the market!

Even (especially) apple tries to copy them: http://tiny.cc/TheiPhoneFever

They may be doing well, but their current product range is disappointing. Still - while others let them slack, they'll be ok.

iPhone is a cheap unit made in asia:))

How many smartphones has nokia sold last year?
If you add symbian and linux, it's over 90 million smartphones!
How many 2G, 3G and 3GS devices did apple sell last year 24.9 million - that is JUST sad! http://goo.gl/UNBy

And since apple has taken the 2G out and still sells only 3 devices (4G to come) I still don't see a breakthrough in sales.

So please apple fanboys, stop boring us and come back when you have both multitasking and FLASH :))))

With the double the number of smartphone from last year which then itself was much higher than 8.5 million units
No further questions are needed, All you Iphone fans can now go and play with their shiny toys.

They delayed it to re organise their stratagy since they are not gonna be bring alot of devices this year but basing mostly on software or the OS of the device
Symbian^3 will have a more powerful hardware achitect so they have to be exzact about their decision
And they are working on 3 different mobile OSs at the same time
MeeGo,Symbian^3 and ^4 so it's understandable if it will be delayed for a bit
That means N8 is gonna be pushed as well

Despite the tough competition they manage to get good results, its a good news for Nokia, but I was guessing that they will gain more profit...

When you click on the source you find that Nokia is planning to launch a family of s^3 devices this year, good news for customers ...
