N8 = high end 12mp digicam + high audio quality mp3 player + mid end touch phone for only Php 24k - 25k. This is what every techy guys should have. A separate 12 mp digicam sony/cannon/samsung costs 15k-20k php, high end mp3 player Sony Walkman A & X series 15k to 30k Php, mid end touch phone 12k-15k php. OMG!!!! what about the iphone = garbage digicam + china clone mp3 player quality + high end touch phone. A separate garbage digicam is now buy 1 take 1 sale, china clone mp3 player is free in every purchase of 1 sack of NFA rice + high end touch phone Php 35 - 40k.

Too bad it won't be released sooner. Nokia is really lagging behind the competition. This would only sell if they lower the price to about $400. Otherwise it would have a hard time competing with other devices like Android phones and the iphone.

I wish i had money to buy this phone it really looks good. I guess i'll be stuck with my nokia 1100 for a long time but i'm happy nokia make affordable phones for everyone. With a very limited amount of money i have i'll never be able to buy phones from apple or htc which also look good.

Nokia might have done what they have always done before announce a mobile to early an the other competitors see it an release there mobile with much better functions ,nowing Samsung an Sony Ericsson they will release a 15 to 20 mega-pixel camera mobile to cut down the sales of the N8,Nokia should have kept quite about the N8 an released it straight away when the phone was fully up-to -date an ready to be released,within the next couple of months we will see now the others reaction to the N8

50 hours of music playback? Err..really? It only has 1200 mAh battery. 12 hours is more realistic.

cause NSeries Phones dont have lack of Hardware Innovation(design..formfactor.etc.) lyk this...!
this shud seriouslly v been c series or other series phones fm nokia..??!
pics do look lyk LG arena btw...not much "New" in terms of design...!??
Software/Specs is impressive...!!
But they seriously need to put more effort into HW as much as SW!!!

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2010this does sound like promising device, and as expected from... moreI think Andriod needs a lot of work in developing its Feature side while Symbian need a lot of work in Make-over side. Makeovers could take much time but not as much as development so I think (and I hope) when new Andriod would be ready, Symbian should be ready too and if they work out with makeover, Symbian can drive good market because as out-of-box-featuers, Symbian is quite rich.
