We'd still be stuck with feature touch-phones and expensive windows "business" phones now if it wasn't for Apple.

But still that is the price for a flagship phone, hence why iphones are highest price even above that. When people want finger print sensors and high res cameras and 32GB memory or higher with the top of the line chip sets and everything else, you cant get that for a cheap price or you're getting a garbage device.

HTC downfall did not start with Ultra-pixel. But started with the superphone HTC Sensation. Media propagated death-grip issue in the phone, led to the down-fall. It was competing with GS2 with ridiculously beefy hardware, back at the time. Tables turned a littel with One X. Then came the original One, with ultra-pixel. I am not a fan-boy of any company or OS.

I was testing M8 for independent company back in the day and it was stunning in every possible way. Not a HTC fan tho

Really it was their 4MP ultrapixel camera that kicked off their downfall. Not only should they not have used it in the original M7 but they actually carried it over to the M8 while everyone else was rocking 13 or 16MP cameras. Its easily their biggest mistake in the last couple years.

Hope the M10 and the rumoured HTC Nexus devices give the company a boost in sales and will help it's profits gain to.
HTC is still the best overall Android phone maker. Best Software and Materials.

Thankyou for the HTC A9. I shopped for months before settling and it far exceeds expectations and is one of the sexiest, premium feel good hand sets in the stores right now and it is very zippy and clean. stunning really. We ended up with 3 for our business in Australia and are very happy

HTC is one of the companies that produce great phones. More, sometimes misfires, as in any company. In my book magic, I see only good things about the improvement of the company. Especially with the new model M10. But I must say that I was looking at photos from my book of magic...without the glasses..:)))))
