Stadtionalist, 16 May 2010After downloading and installing the update on my WinMo 6.5... moreI had got the same, but it is possible to uninstall Office 2010 - find 'uninstall programs' on your smartphone.
On the other hand - I have posted similar comment here, but it was removed.

After downloading and installing the update on my WinMo 6.5 device, I cannot use/open any documents anymore, nor can I open the applications themselves, nor can I reinstall Office 2010... As of now, I am a WinMo user without (working) Office. Errrr....

First of all i must admit i "really" am a Microsoft fan from XBOX(and now X360) to any kind of software,Zune and so on...
but what Microsoft is doing?! Win Mo was in the market since early and no intention to improve it?or at least like these days that big and nice features one by one are coming and guess what? FOR FREE!!!
that's the problem with Microsoft's marketing decisions, meaning:there is no parity.
if you wana launch a brand new OS with jaw dropping capabilities (Xbox Live games etc)then why only a few months before launching it push the older versions with damn nice heavy weight FREE features and make it so attractive in exact time that new OS(Win Mo 7)needs this kind of push and hype?
i don't know maybe guys in MS know something...hope so!
all in all Office Mobile 2010 is another key driver for MS in OS Market.

I think this is all being done for the soon to be expected release of WinMo 7 (Windows Phone 7) on highend devices, which should compete with the ever growing Android... However, I don't see Microsoft copying Android OS without showing the less interactive character of Windows (something which I actually like a lot on my WinMo 6.5 device). Anyway, I'm going to get my free update :).

I don't really like windows mobile, but I have to give it to them for finally packaging this software with their phones. First, free bing maps, now free office. It may not make WinMo a better mobile OS, but at least it's more enticing to use now.
