I tried to convince myself to buy a Win10 phone, but I can't recall the last time I use hotmail or bing. Nothing can take me back to the MS world.

when most PC users are using Chrome as browser, Google.com as search engine, Gmail as main email, Drive as online storage, Youtube as multi media platform, Google Map as main map, it is already known Microsoft is screwed.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2016Nokia was struggling way before Microsoft.Nokia didn't struggle they just earned less with more workers than they had now. They just decided to go with WP just bc they wanted to earn more profits. I must say WP interface is beautiful but OS as OS is really buggy. I never in my life had synchronization issues with my Symbian smartphone and with WP is totally mess. So called "software engineers" while Symbian developers in American media didn't know how to code. Symbian Touch OS with more features and technologies was made within a year without any bug i had experienced while this windows 10 OS taking ages to make it right. In conclusion i think Symbian was better OS than WM10. Nokia just made mistake they didn't include better processor, RAM; graphics. They used really low end chipset and that is mistake they made with Symbian.

Serve u right for delaying everything about windows mobile. I do really hope windows mobile close right now. Truly disappointed with my so called first to receive windows 10 update (Lumia 640). Now I'm 100% sure that they will not meet the February deadline AGAIN!

Continuum was MS's trump card, and they played it poorly. Continuum being developed mainly for ARM-based chips meant that the millions of desktop programs (designed for x86-64) for Windows were out of reach. And I doubt desktop program makers want to port their games to a minority ARM-based Windows.
Had they used something like a Zenfone 2 (which has a proper Atom x86-64 chip), Continuum would have been a more powerful and useful feature.

They really need to cut (fire) a lot of developers and hire new ones instead (more professional and competent ones). Hiring cheap workforce from poor Asian countries is the main reason of why Windows Mobile is in so bad condition and still not polished months after release. Even desktop version is still not great. Look at Edge browser with all its bugs and limited functionality. Microsoft needs true professional developers, but not cheap workforce. Problem is not with Windows. Windows is great. Problem is with incompetent developers... These incompetent developers eventually will ruin the company due to their natural inability to meet deadlines and produce high quality and finished work.

Dear Microsoft. I've got a suggestion. Make windows phone 10 work on every windos phone 8 device to get you back on track. You have postponed the update for way too long. Then concentrate on the android app support part. Way more people would be willing to try out windows phone 10 after those 2 things are dealth with.

I agree, the windows platform for a phone just isn't good enough and never can be. They should use android and all its apps and features but perhaps put their own skin on it. Windows phone is terrible, that's why no one wants it, then they made windows OS look like windows phone (windows 8) No one likes it and sales are plummeting, now windows 10 is a mix up of everything and even more market share is going to Apple. Microsoft should make windows attractive again and leave phones to those who know what they are doing.

Here I thought Microsoft was doing well based from the Microsoft camp. But all could go well for these Finnish employees getting laid off, they could just easily hand in their application again to a nearby Nokia building if Nokia decides to open their business again later this year and opens their doors for hiring
