But in the end SAMSUNG will threat all customers to buy the latest device by not or extremely delayed updates on older products than the newest one.
This is a bad philosophy! Hope this will change in future.
Example: Waiting for Android 6 upgrade or S6 - No infomration about this moddle since S7 has been released.

This sucks. All these models are practically the same as Tab S. And they have a smaller battery and the lame 4:3 screen orientation. This wasn't a good move Samsung. I am a huge fan and I think S7 is great but I think you should put more effort into making better tablets and not just copying them with another size and look.

Reading the comments and what silliness. Yes my deek is bigger and better than your deek, excuse me, tablet. iPad, S2, Xperia, Surface, etc. get what you want, what fits your needs and be happy there are so many choices.
I am in the market for a tablet and for me it has come down between the ipad and the S2 (or now the S3 since that seems imminent). I like the 4:3 ratio because I will mainly be using it for web browsing and book reading and I really don't mind black bars while watching a movie. That's just me.
I have decided on the Samsung because my PC is Windows my phone is Android and I have no investment in the Apple world. I like having an SD card for extra memory. I like the ease of file management. I wish it had the battery life of the iPad, that is a big plus for Apple.
This is tech and the days of monolithic platforms is gone. There is choice and lots of it and that is a GOOD thing. It ain't religion folks.

Tab S2 the 8" is such a beautiful product, weighing just 265g, although battery life is a modest 4000mAh. I only wish S3 keeps the same dimensions but comes with a bit better battery (e.g. 5000mAh), while keeping the same weight (or even lighter if possible). Other improvements are welcome but less needed than longer battery life.

All this argument about screen ratio is pointless, different tasks are best at different screen ratioa and until someone produces a morphing screen it will always be a compromise.
Companies price their products at what they think the market will bear, most are greatly overpriced, hence 50% sales etc which still make a profit. Many people have bought iphones and can't afford apple prices to fix problems and now zpple have bricked them with the iOS9 upgrade, not a nice practice.
So you make your own choice based mostly on what you can afford and what you want to do, !what is best for one person is not the same for another. So arguements should be confined to the hnicsl issues

Why don't you make tablets that have the same specs in your phones. So far ,for me the galaxy note pro 12.2 and the tab s 10.5 and 8.4 are the best high end tablets also they have flash on their cameras and have ir blaster controlling your tv.And wanting more in the next samsung tablets we like speakers that are louder than the ipadpro.

You might not be able to afford apple products, thus your anti-appleism, but you could at least support another android oem that is actually more worth it such as sony and lg.

That all that super-speed is mostly academic. Looks great in benchmarks, little real life impact. For instance, little if any processing power is used when playing a movie (both on A8X and 5433).
>> You might like the over saturation that amoled offers, but a whole bunch of people
>> don't and they buy lg sony apple instead.
If you took the time to read my prior comment you noticed that tested colors are more accurate on S2. That means they're less oversaturated or undersaturated than the REFERENCE when compared to iPA2. Besides, most modern AMOLED devices (S2, Moto X, LG G Flex2, Nexus 6/6P and a myriad of others), let you choose color profiles, in case neutrality is preferred over top saturation.
>> You can't agree on a point that i didnt say.
I never implied that you specifically were in agreement.
>> Samsung is pushing the tab s3 as a premium device to compete with the top ipad
>> out there using a very mid range processors.
Several people in the comments thread believe Tab S3 is not a high end device like the original Tab S was, ergo, I posit that it's being pushed as a mid-tier. And of course, I can't be sure.
>> Even though you seem to be a huge
>> samsung supporter, you seem to be confused by samsung's offerings. They have

I cannot even pretend to understand the spray-and-pray strategy of Samsung regarding product development and marketing. You might be aware of the Galaxy TabPro S, a new 12", 3:2 aspect ratio screen, Win10, Core m powered tablet with keyboard and touchpad. No word on pen input, but given the obvious positioning against the iPP I wouldn't count it out. What would prevent Samsung from making a 10" GTPS to compete with the iPA3 and the Pixel C?

Mkdc, 15 Feb 2016nothing you said matters when the screen of ipad air 2 is b... moreAir 2 is so fast you can see Titanic in 90 minutes instead of 3 hours it would take on the S2 =)))).
Bad joke aside (IT HAS a point), I invite you to read the Tab S2 review in notebookcheck, see the screen comparison with iPA2. In short, Tab S2 aces in color accuracy, color space gamut, gamma decode accuracy and contrast. iPA2 aces brightness and brightness distribution. So besides evenly burning your retinas in the dark, the Tab S2 clearly has better performance. In fact, in notebookcheck tests, the original iPad Air screen had better performance than iPA2.
All that said, I agree that Tab S3 is being pushed to be an AMOLED mid-tier for Samsung (sort of Galaxy Ax phones) and I do expect a higher tier to face the iPA3.

This is a slight upgrade from the Tab S2, the only difference being the upper-midrange chipset, which is faster thanks to its A72 setup. It's apparent to me that Samsung is neglecting the tablet market and slowly and steadily abandoning it and I don't blame them. And look everyone, it's gas39 bragging about his latest precious Xperia device, this time instead of a behemoth Z Ultra smartab it's a slightly bigger midget tablet.

Oh dear, no where near my 8" Sony Z3 Tablet Compact. Sony's looks and feels so much better, and most importantly a proper aspect ratio, not the joke 4:3 ratio of the ipad. Films look perfect on the 16:10 aspect ratio, just don't understand why Samdung would copy icrap but you can probably tell by their names they both have something in common.

AnonD-411204, 13 Feb 2016Well, given that the S2 has a smaller footprint, is thinner... morenothing you said matters when the screen of ipad air 2 is better and most importantly, it's much much much faster than the mid range spec tab s2 (and upcoming tab s3). It the tab s2 (and eventually tab s3) was priced accordingly at mid range price, nobody would complain. At its current states, the tab s series is at least 150$ - 200$ overpriced.
