I have the S6 Edge+ and whilst the edges don't do anything in particular, they do make the phone look not only super sexy but also quite unique. Why have a phone that looks like every other out there? I really hope there will be an S7 Edge+ version announced, information regarding that particular variant is limited.

They say Apple charges more to people who buy their products but the samfans don't even think that Samsung is building phones every 6 months. and the people buy their products once release in the public. If they will sum up the amount of money they spent to the phone, well it is twice amount than that in Apple iPhone. Not included on the accessories of the phone they bought separately. And the phone's performance changes after a few months. So for me I rather buy a product that will last long that receives update every now and then.

Most people loved the S6 ... morething is i feel like samsung s series is going in the same direction as htc m9 ... which may lead to a failure in sales ... and btw i had high hopes for the edges on my s6 edge but those turned out to be just marketing gimmicks , those are not curved enough , all the content and info. shown on the edges are just shown on the normal screen area , so was wondering why there are edges on the screen ? whats the purpose ? just to show some fancy light effect when you keep your phone upside down on a desk ? i felt that useless :(

The reason they started doing updates every 6 months is because that's the average life span of an android phone

They actually did a study on the iPhone for upgrades. You only save about $200 if you upgrade every 3 years instead of yearly. The resale value goes down on your old phone so it almost cancels out what you would pay to upgrade.

You have a piece of equipment, you use it til it fails, or you buy a new one whenever you want. They're not meant to be upgraded because they still function well (assuming it still does). It's entirely up to the user if he wants to upgrade.

You have to wait every 2 years. Btw, I doubt anyone will pay cash. Most pay with installment plan. You want to buy a new phone while your old phone is not fully paid yet? This is much mature design. Thanks for getting rid of chrome/silver ring around home button. Now it looks more elegent! And again, they improved their UI a looot! Its more drastic than their exterior design change! Its soo smooth, fast & beautiful!!!
