A not so jigsaw like Project ARA. LG have kept it simple which means increased reliability and no worried about one module looking older than the other if added a while after the core device is purchased. By slotting in modules, they are not visible. Clever, but as it's not a standard, may be hard for them to succeed from because the phone will be one of many other models and soon become obsolete as new form factors arrive. Need to be a world standard.

Been looking fwd to the G5 since I decided to skip the G4..a good phone I must add. All these sound interesting and intriguing. Have to wait for Sunday to digest all these stuff.

well, lg noticed that playing safe is not a key to the success. They really do some risky steps with these devices and now makes it more interesting. It is a good step if that slot will not be just for battery replacement but will be as well for something more like expanded battery - people will love those really. Would nice to see replacable hardware as well but would be hard to find hardware. I am waiting for a day when we will be able to build our own mobile phones Like gaming pc rigs. Just like Google project Ara. I hate replacing whole phone just because newier phone has a new processor.

LG G Flex and Samsung Galaxy Round; remember. Both company actually pretty much have similar tech. Anyway, I bet LG G4 owner would be crying by now. Hahaha. Told you so. Leather G4 is ugly and useless compare to this. I want this G5!

Mainly I hope for 2 things on G5:
1. Speaker must be great (not worse than on G4). Would of course want stereo speakers, but I doubt it will happen. Big phone manufacturers dont pay attention to speakers sadly. Only some chinese makers, do but other parts is not up to my expectation due to non-remoavble batteries, etc.
2. Battery must be removable (it seems it will be, yay), so I can hope Zerolemon will put out epic 8000-10 000mAh battery soon after.
And of course, SD card slot is must be. Waterproofing would be nice, but I doubt it will happen.

Sliding battery from the bottom of the phone doesn't sound good. I'm afraid of how ZeroLemon will create a 3x higher capacity extended battery for G5 with this design. Because extended batteries require the phone's back cover to be removable.
