Now this is the true battle of flagship between S7 and G5. Samsung will capitalize on the name and legacy, nothing great that can be called as an upgrade. No reason for atleast S6 users. Others will find it too expensive to think why not S6 if they are stuck with the name.
On the other hand, G5 brings creativity, flexibility and a premium feel. I myself who wasnt even thinking about changing my G4 before MWC, now eager to upgrade.
Way to go LG. You've done half of the job already. Other half to be done on sales and marketing . "Be ready to spend $1 bn in advertisements ;-)"

honestly the S7 isn't that much of an upgrade over the S6 but for those who are stuck with their S4 or S5. I don't see me anytime buying the S7 because it is not worth the upgrade (my preference). I find the G5 interesting and intriguing.. it makes every comment look d u m b that is bashing LG for 200mah less and a removable battery.. you've been bashing samsung with their design that looks like an iphone to you and non removable battery and now samsung is better than lg because? At least LG is changing the game, not something new, but definitely a game changer. You don't have to use the modules but it makes you have a removable battery for those who need it. Design wise? You are not marrying the phone.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2016Skipp.. LG actually admit, no premium stuff insite our phon... moreI don't like that u have to reboot to add a module. Surely by then the photo moment will be gone. I'd prefer faster focus & a better camera any day (better low light etc)
I'm sure there are other better possible options for this modular design to come - like maybe a projector add on &/with stereo speakers.
Bring them on I say!

AMOLED is less power consuming and gives real solid black backgrounds.

iAbhishekh, 21 Feb 2016Am I the only one who liked the G5? I mean all I see is the... moreNope I like it too. Instead of stripping away features and going the incremental upgrade route *Samsung* they are trying something different. Removable battery, IPS screen, Modular system and SD card support all positives for me.
If Note 5 has no removable battery then I may just have to upgrade from my note 3 to this.

AnonD-422306, 21 Feb 2016Correct me if I am wrong, but the G5 is using an LCD screen... moreI am correcting you because you are wrong: the LG always-on feature only consumes 0.8% battery per hour because only 1/3 of the screen is powered when that feature is on (only the band that contains the text).

Conversely the LCD screens are not affected by burn-in problem.
