I don't know if they already fix the auto shut down, last time when I bought Sony M5 comes with Dual Sim, defect is Auto Shutdown, I wish this Sony Xperia X series have no defects

I am from Mumbai the biggest & most developed city in India. The brands we grew up with were Nokia, Motorolla & Sony Ericson. Samsung was nowhere in the picture.
Sony's Z series has not succeeded because of bad sales & marketing. I don't see any TV adds for Z series whereas Samsung markets its every line of phones. Sony also ignores USA market largely, which is another big mistake. That's why they are not succeeding .
It has nothing to do with quality of Z series.
I have had 3 Xperia phones Xperia P, ZR & now Z3 Compact & I have not faced any self-cracking issue. Maybe it is region-specific. But I have not seen any one I met complaining about it.
& your claims of copying are stupid again. Like I said just because someone came up with something first does not mean others cannot implement it. Because that way, everyone will have COPIED something from others.

i dont know why sony is bring phones with 4000mh batteries,though the phones are good in performance and other things we need keep the phones on saline ......there are so many chinese brands are out with faster processors (2 and above) higher ram and good batteries.........

Cant believe that a submersible phone is left out without a lanyard inlet.
Neither S7 or X Performance have it. It seems I will have to go for a Z5, unfortunately...

Just because some one came up with something... moreWrong, everything you said is Wrong !..Sony waterproof phones have been a failure...Look at the low sales figures and high % of water damage…Sony even says not to use them in salt or chlorinated water, but only in fresh water. FYI, you cannot patent a waterproof phone, please learn some basic understanding of the the law.
Palm Trio was the first with touchscreen, NOT Sony…Yes, Sony has been making phones for a long time, but mostly failures with terrible battery life….Thats why the Z series is being scrapped by Sony as its been a massive failure.
Sony was never a real competitor to Nokia or Motorola back in the old days…Ask your Mommy about those early days.
Sony = copy/paste….The last 7/8 years Sony has copied everything in mobile phones, without a single new innovation or invention.
Sony Z series has a 25% self cracking screen problem as documented by BBC and Dutch watch dog and thousands of online user complaints, overheating problems, questionable quality, terrible after service and warranty, bad camera quality for a flagship model.
Harden up there, blind fanboy and accept the real truth.

Just because some one came up with something... moreSony was a latecomer to the mobile phone industry and most certainly didn't make the first touchscreen phone.
Their first phone came to market around 1997, which was a couple years later than Samsung. The major phone makers in the late 1980s and early 1990s was Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola (you can go back further if you include those mobile phones with the big attached "brick" that contained the power pack and circuits).
Sony was never serious competitor to Motorola, Ericsson or Nokia. From the late 1980s to 1990s, each of those 3 had anywhere between 15% up to 80% of the global market. Sony never had much more than 1% prior to their agreed partnership with Ericsson in 2002.
To further the point, the vast majority of patents around mobile technology for these four belong to Motorola, Ericsson and Nokia, not Sony (it was only through the Ericsson acquisition that Sony got some of the patents). The reason is these other companies were already providing the components and infrastructure to the telecom industry (cellular base station equipment, microwave relay stations, software) for decades before the first Sony phone came out. Those three companies were also key players in the committees and unions IEEE, ITU) that came up with many of the communications standards for cellular tech.
As for the first touchscreen claim, that doesn't belong to Sony. The first touchscreen phone was available in 1994 on BellSouth network. The phone was from IBM and ran DOS as the OS. Here's a photo of that phone

Just because some one came up with something first does not mean that others who implemented it later just coppied it. If samsung really had waterproofing right then they woud have patented it. But no, they did not get it right only Sony did.
Sony had the first touchscreen phone. Does that mean everyone else just copied ? or what if no1 had copied it woud we have the phones we have today ? Sony has been making phones since so long when no 1 even knew Samsung made phones. Sony was the compititor to Nokia & Motorolla back in the day.
& what about the stuff Samsung did copy from Apple ? for which they are still paying fines.
What about that ?
U talk as if Samsung is some kind of Perfect Saint. Whereas they actually have a lot of issues as well with their large oddly shaped phones, slow laggy UI, poor battery performance & poor endurance. They just have their Marketing & Support machine running better than Sony's & that's why they are making more money just like Apple.

Samsung uses its own camera lens and makes its own cpu, ram, motherboards etc etc...Sony outsources 100% of its mobiles

Sony still uses obsolete LCD screens…
Sony Z series have a 25% failure rate with self cracking screens…..thousands of online sites to prove this, including BBC and Dutch watchdog.
Sony now only makes profits from its camera sensors and playstations. Everything else is a financial loss…In fact Sony is over $7 billion in the red from the past 8 years….Samsung makes more profit in one day than Sony makes in a year….lol
Yes, Samsung profits and sales are down as the markets are saturated, but still making $ billions of profits.
