Chuck Norris, 23 Feb 2016Outrank 1st the sony Z5 in DXO mark and then i will acknowl... moreDid you evwn read the whole fiasco thing about Dxo? They have to go through a whole process of adjusting the camera to take just the right picture. This takes down the ease of use like crazy. The whole point of smartphone cameras is to take a reasonably good picture on a whim, which is why many people complained about sony phone cameras.

Sony got the best sensor but still need lots of improvement in software (edge blur, over processing etc.)

They have have had this before Samsung and HTC was the first to use a big sensor with a lower MP count, m7. IPhone still delivers an overall pleasant experience(PIC n video).

just wondering if you guys are explaining what Android phones (specially Samsung) are coming up with or you are simply promoting for them and giving the edge over other parties (windows, ois and bb)??!!!

AnonD-506139, 22 Feb 2016ok? they're talking about the S6 and 7 though.I was replying to somebody else, who was trying to claim that the Galaxy S5 has a better camera than the iPhone 6s. As in a "even the GALAXY S5 beats the iPhone 6s so it's not like it's competition for the Galaxy S6/S7" kind of tone.

The Galaxy S5's camera isn't all that great. The Galaxy S6 has a great camera but I still don't think it's the best. That reward goes to both the Lumia 950/950 Xl and the LG V10.

Kettzy, 23 Feb 2016By that sense, every iPhone is manufactured by Foxconn, Pro... moreTrue. Just small difference - Samsung uses maybe 20% of the outsourced parts. They are technologically capable to produce better sensor than Sony (and did so in the past e.g. S5 with ISOCELL sensor which was by far superior at the date), however Sony can mass produce the sensors on lower cost and if difference is not big enough for Samsung to use their own sensor they use Sony's one. Quite a different approach fro the apple though - Samsung usually takes the best available sensor and further enhances hardware, apple however takes the most mid-range cheap sensor and optimises it with software. The end result - on the phone screens the pictures looks comparable, but when you open them up on large PC screen they are nothing alike - Samsung is clear winner.
