    Why try to connect over the phone when you can directly connect to the desktop?
    No, I'm not confused about the difference between Mobile and Desktop OS.
    That huge difference is the reason why the Continuum is NOT feasible for business.

                  All the hate for W10m when I'm betting quite heavily that very very few people commenting have actually used it. WP8.1 was awful. It was childish and looked terrible in my opinion, despite performing reasonably well on low-end hardware. W10m is much more refined and after "downgrading" from a Sony z2 to a L930 (running W10m technical preview fast ring), I just can't bear to go back to the disjointed and bloated Android OS. I've championed W10m to my friends and colleagues and many are really interested, apart from the ones who desperately need Clash of Clans or Grindr or something.

                  One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that this is being co-developed with 30 major companies who approached HP and asked them to make an enterprise W10m handset. Therefore HP already have a significant order book for it. Although general consumers will be able to purchase this, it is aimed squarely at the business segment. MS is also working closely with HP too.

                  For those who so readily dismiss W10m without even trying it, give it a go. The majority of you will be pleasantly surprised at what a slick and productive OS it is. It's also admittedly a bit unfinished in places but updates are coming through regularly and, just like the desktop version, W10 is an OS that will constantly be updated and improved for years to come.

                  On the subject of the app gap, MS has a tool for developers called Islandwood. It basically converts iOS apps into W10m. Some of these converted apps are now starting to reach the app store. Soon Astoria will be available which converts Android apps into W10m.

                  Like I said, don't let your experiences of cheap little Lumias running WP8.1 have a bias on W10m until you've tried it properly.

                    And the 2014 version was more complete than this HP one (Asus Transformer Book V )

                      have you used Continuum at all? Can you name me a single phone that has upgradable RAM/ROM? Does anyone in their right mind think that Windows 10 MOBILE is a full fledged OS?

                      The continuum versions of office are very capable, on top of that there is a continuum enabled remote desktop app. So if your overly worried about using something specific you can remote onto your computer from afar.

                      I personally would be able to use just this phone/keyboard/mouse and monitor for my entire job if needed, and I know of others that can do the same. So for what it is, a mobile phone. It is a very capable device.

                      Try not to get too confused over the difference between a mobile OS and a desktop OS.

                                Despite the barrage of mislead and arrogant negativity in this comments section, I think this is a competitive and well placed device. It's certainly a good entrance to the smartphone market for HP, who has been absent for a long time now. It's ridiculously powerful and checks all of the boxes: sharp, beautiful display, front facing speakers, microSD card support, waterproof, bio-metric authentication, Windows 10 Mobile. It's a beautiful device. My only issue is that the camera set up seems weak. Just a single LED flash (not like I use it anyways but it's still nice to have when it's necessary), no sign of OIS, and no physical camera button. I'm glad it utilizes Continuum which is an innovative feature, despite it's initial immaturity. I say well done HP. I look forward to reviews.

                                    1) It lacks the needed memory - both RAM and ROM.
                                    It's NOT even upgradeable
                                    2) Windows Mobile IS NOT a FULL Windows 10 OS
                                    This means it won't install and run work-related apps. ONLY SUPPORTEtD ones via continuum
                                    3) Generic apps for Continuum has its limits.
                                    This means MS WORD or MS EXCEL in Windows Mobile may NOT have ALL the functions that the same application will have in Windows OS

                                    If only Microsoft and Google did NOT stop the dual boots (i.e. ASUS Transformer V and Trio), we could have a FULLY working Windows OS in a small device (i.e. Phone)

                                      Why the negative comments mostly unsubstantiated. This is one of the most innovative things to hit the mobile industry. Yes it dos not aim at the adolescent market that is only interested in music,games and the social media aps. there needs are met by many smart phones available at present. This device and Windows 10 is pushing the boundary and may not be perfect yet but the concept once refined will mature and many more people who are professionals seeking a phone that is more than just a phone or fashion statement will find a work tool that can meat a much broader rang of functionality.
