I haven't really seen Samsung update jack squat for many of their phones, which is one of the reasons why I decided to avoid Samsung until they get their act straight.

                                  -----RANT Warning-----

Best phone or not, I don't care for the specs. It can be the fastest phone in the world but if it doesn't suit my tastes, needs, and requirements... I won't get it. In this case, the Galaxy S isn't my cup of tea. I hate the iPhone-ripoff UI; I'm sick of it. Disliked the looks of touchwiz, don't like the dotted back cover, don't like how the modified UI is done, and don't like how I've been hearing how it isn't possible to go vanilla UI. The Samsung widgets aren't all that impressive nor have an edge over the others. Then there are company related issues that directly affect the phone like the non-existent customer support and device support.

The pros I like though are the excellent sound quality, slim form, SuperAMOLED, and a faster CPU/GPU. But that's hardware related which isn't the end all be all factor in my eyes... expect the sound quality (audiophile).

Just my two cents. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. If you like it, then good for you. Don't like it? Then you have learned a lesson and hopefully you will know better to avoid it should the situation come again. IOW, fanboys... please get a grip.

                                  -----RANT End-----

but this may be different, as GSM already mentioned that this phone has better battery life! lasts up to 2 days of full use, samsung has done a good job with the battery life... again this is not an HTC phone..

This is one sweet phone, has the best hardware bar none, shame about the lack of flash. But with the Android 2.2 which is in the works will have full web site flash support is awesome.

The back looks somewhat aweful but hey so long as it is light portable with good battery life and alot of feature i can use i am up for it.
