Finally! Someone who agrees with me! The way windows n IOS are developed is just fluid! They don't demand a powerful hardware as the software is very well optimized.

6GB is enough for we heavy gamers that install thousand applications including games. 3GB is not enough talkless of 1.5GB which can't hold 400 applications. As a world of android applications vast capacity of space on phone and strong chipset can save years without changing,i mean small capacity phone and minor chipset is what make u change mobile phone every year, this is waste of resources.

My ipad air stuttered with IOS7, because of lack of RAM. Those who say too much RAM, don't understand the concept called "Future proofing", "Heavy usage". Also, I don't understand how more RAM would make for lesser battery life either. This is a good move from Vivo and others should follow, not to be mocked at.

AnonD-391800, 23 Feb 2016On which brand?
And btw, what phone exactly does not lag w... moreWindows phones and iPhones don't lag when you work with a large number of heavy apps. And they do that with 1 GB (max. 2 GB) of RAM.
On the other hand, if you take the Nexus 6p and put it to the test (same heavy apps, same tasks, same heavy multitasking), it will lag. (that's between 50% to 200% more RAM and results in lower performance than Win/iOS)
If you take a 4 GB Angroid phone and try this stuff, it will lag. (100% to 300% more RAM and results in lower performance than Win/iOS)
If you take a 6 GB Lagroid phone, it will yield the same results. (because that OS is a big pile of mess)
All this extra RAM will make for faster battery drain, thus not helping the phone user in any way.

6GB?? Wow, even my MacBook Pro only has 4GB of RAM..
I mean, even my previous iPhone 5 only have 1GB of RAM yet it performed lot smoother than my NTT Docomo Galaxy SIII with 2GB of RAM.
Android is such hungry for RAM, and I'll stand by what I said.
I've owned multiple handsets from Apple, Android, and WindowsPhone.
Really, 6GB? It's just insane and solid proof that Android is such a RAM-hungry gadget.

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2016Oh wow! 6 GB of RAM - and Android will still lag. Any optim... more>android will still lag
tell me something what does not lag. Lag happens only if processor has too heavy work and if ram will not be enough. In this situation ram will be very enough. If screen will be 1080p then I see no problems for this phone to be lag-free. As well if they put bloatware. Just custom ROM it and enjoy this lag free phone! Custom Roms might have few problems not according to hardware but according to some custom ROM problems which are not device fault but people who make this. Just fix and here we go. Just look at that amazing nexus 6p only 3gb ram and sd810 and it is butter smooth. No lag.
