The right balance is achieved when you get the specs you need for the price you can pay. I would rather pay 200-300 bucks more and get future proofed specs than something with a shitty display. Or bad UI.

chinese phones dont generally advertise like say samsung there tactic is via e-shops, and giving reviewers samples thats how the advertise, so you will almost never pay crazy amounts as a consumer for advertisement
and everything you mentioned if you apply it to a samsung phone for someone who in the west like in the carribean that will have to import it.....

1. The 128 GB of internal storage pro version.
2. The exclusive and exotically premium ceramic back on the pro.
3. The image stabilization with it's 4 axis tech.
4. Rear camera resolution.
5. Battery life since it's only with1080p display.
6. Performance! The S7 will lose by a margin, again since it's display is only 1080p.
So that's a lot of win besides the obvious pricing advantage.

One simple reason is they will be trashed and thrashed for licensing disputes..... They always are imported by third party companies. Only in emerging countries like India they can sell directly，because laws are not strict here..... Coming to the point..... I am ok to send my data to US companies like facebook，google because they are governed by US laws... Btw I dont use facebook...
