Many peole are criticizing Leica because its such a premium brand that only one in 100 use them .
Moreover they are so expensive that they cant effort.
              So,comment after knowing.
Additionally I will like to say Leica is in camera industry from 1849....

Leica makes some good, albeit, grossly overpriced cameras, especially some of their recent pro-compacts which are basically rebranded Panasonic's.

Wow, didn't anticipated that for sure. Great move for Huawei in terms of improving camera performance and (more importantly) raising product status. Not sure why Leica takes this though, almost seems downgrading their brand with the budget Chinese manufacturer.

Leica in the digital world does no exist, has crap sensors in their cameras, the only good think is the glass, their cameras suck.

                                  Strange collaboration.
Huawei is not the most likely brand to put out a very expensive nisch camera phone.
Meaning that the collaboration, will be more of a branding thing, than any actual improvement in optics. At least not compared to other brands. I dont think the Leica lenses on Panasonic products, are that much better than the optics on other brands in the same category.

Unless it's all about Huawei making the phone hardware and UI for a line of Leica mobiles.
Then it could make sense, as Huawei does phone hardware pretty good. And at a reasonable price, so that Leica can be sure not to overpay for the phone hardware.
Huawei is also a better known mobile brand than Panasonic. And they have a infrastructure to have their phones sold in mobile stores globally.

But for any product to actually be a Leica product, with their level of quality, it would have to be really expensive. And mostly when Leica product are better than their competitors, they are somewhat better, but costs several of times more, meaning that that extra quality comes at a way too high price difference for most buyers.
But it would be cool to see a real Leica-phone. Even though I personally would probably never get that one.
