AnonD-308243, 25 Feb 2016the editor makes this whole thing even more cryptic, does t... moreIt just means that the phone isn't locked until they inset their simcard..
So you buy the phone and it's an vodafone one, instead of vodafone having to but EG : 1000 phones locked to vodafone, they buy 1000 phones, when they inset a vodafone sim card, it's then locked to that network.
It's good for multi network shops, they don't need to buy 100 vodafone, 100 O2, 100 EE, they just buy 300 phones and when each one is set up it locks to that network.
